If you want an Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch that supports NFC and features LTE connectivity, starting Friday you will be able to walk into Verizon or AT&T and buy the LG Watch Sport. At Verizon, the watch will be priced at $329.99 with a signed two-year pact. Or, you can buy Verizon's own Wear24 smartwatch for $299.99 with a signed two-year pact. The carrier's own timepiece will be available next month. It will work with Android Pay, and you will be able to make and take calls directly from your wrist.

The Wear24 will reportedly feature a 1.39-inch AMOLED display, a 42mm case, and a 450mAh battery. Android Wear 2.0 will be powering the device, which at 13.5mm thick will present a more svelte looking profile than the LG Watch Sport. And with an IP67 certification rating, the watch can be submerged into 3.3-feet of water for up to 30 minutes, and escape unscathed. Custom watch faces will be available for the Wear24 that change the information on the timepiece depending on the location of the wearer.

If you have the Verizon plan, you can add a connected smartwatch for just $5 a month. Or, you can subscribe to the Single Device Plan which will give you unlimited talk, text and 1GB of data for $10 a month.

This is not the first Verizon branded connected device that is offered by the carrier. The Verizon Ellipsis 7 is a 7-inch tablet, the Ellipsis 8 is an 8-inch slate and the Ellipsis 10 carries a 10-inch screen.
