T-Mobile G-Slate release date to be this Spring, features lots of 3D

Seems the time is right to put on your 3D glasses, folks, as T-Mobile has officially confirmed the LG G-Slate's release date - this 3D multimedia powerhouse is scheduled to appear this spring. It will be running Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), and will feature an 8.9-inch HD 3D display. Furthermore, the tablet will be capable of recording in HD, as well as 3D, thanks to two rear-facing cameras.
Some might still be disappointed that the G-Slate requires 3D glasses. But don't let that dissuade you, this tablet is sure to be a winner. With a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, and T-Mobile's 4G network, the iPad might have finally met its match. Other stats include 32GB of on-board memory, output for both HD and 3D TVs, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, and a front-facing camera.
"We are excited to introduce the T-Mobile G-Slate by LG, which offers consumers an engaging new way to communicate, entertain and stay connected," said LG Marketing VP Tim O'Brien. The Samsung Galaxy Tab was a pioneer, but it certainly has its faults. The G-Slate's Android 3.0 OS, 3D display, and dual-core processor make this the first real competitor to the iPad. What do you think? Will you buy it, or are waiting for a glasses-free tablet?

promising. But I think I will wait for gen 2 for anything with 3D. Just cause gen 1 usually has a ton of bugs.

how is it that "the ipad might have met its match". ? How does the ipad even come close to this thing, other than the fact it beat everyone to the tablet gate and had a bump in sales from it? Heck, the ipad doesnt do what the Tab or any other android tablet does... muchless 3d and full HD.
