Without missing a beat, there sure are a lot of happenings surrounding HP's buyout of Palm, but the longtime smartphone maker isn't letting those things interfere with its plans on keeping webOS up-to-date. Verizon customers are waking up today with news that webOS 1.4.1.1 has been officially released and owners should expect to see the update being pushed over the course of the next few days. As we've reported a couple of days ago, the latest version of the platform packs some additional fixes to improve the overall experience and the return of the beloved forward gesture for the web browser. Impatient owners can simply check out the Updates app on the phone to instantly jump into the download without waiting any longer. As the company will undoubtedly be going through a period of change in the next few months, we'd expect Palm to continue the development of the platform as we near July 31 when the deal is expected to be fully closed and in the books.
