More than 100 million apps downloaded from Samsung Apps
Samsung is obviously doing something right when it comes to its mobile app store, aptly named Samsung Apps, since it's reported that as of now over 100 million apps have been downloaded from it.

Samsung Apps, which was launched back in June 2010, has 13 000 apps (available for bada, Anroid and J2ME) and is available in more than 120 countries. According to the Korean company, users from France, Spain and Germany have downloaded a healthy 40% of these over 100 million apps, while the most popular titles are named as Magic Torch, Need for Speed Shift, Asphalt 5, London Traffic and Ndrive France.

Moreover, Samsung has some good news for users of its native mobile OS - bada. These folks can win some Samsung Apps vouchers, USB flash drives, Galaxy Tabs and Galaxy Players if they download an application from Samsung Apps - the promotion runs for every week from March 25 until April 30 and a few lucky guys will be selected on a random basis.

there are so many places to get Android apps from now that it's kind of a joke to compare itunes app store to Google's Android Market without including all these other app markets.

@Ganyo
Not really..I have the wave 1(s8500) and the most out numbering apps I find there are loads of themes and a few good games that are over-priced...And number of USEFUL and worth while apps are countable on all ten fingers..
Dont get me wrong,the wave is a awesome mobile and I love mine(especially its SAMOLED screen)but the way I feel is that it shouldnt have been made by samsung cuz they dont get the software or OS side of things right most of the time,nor update them when its really needed..like im still stuck on bada 1.02 and waiting for the official bada 1.2(!) when samsung is talking about Bada 2.0 now..
Back to the topic,its an impressive achivement yes..But is it really gonna help in getting us wave owners better quality and even quantity of apps?

Yeah I downloaded 4 or 5 of their apps from the Samsung Apps store about 50 or 60 times after every factory reset - while I was trying to find LAG FREE firmware for my Galaxy S over the last 6 months...

So, really these figures are just bogus..
