Apple iPhone 5 pre-orders on September 30th with October 7th launch?
The latest word on the Apple iPhone 5 comes from sources for electronista. According to these tipsters, the Apple iPhone 5 will be announced next month at the same time the new iPods and iOS 5 are launched. Apple is then expected to start accepting pre-orders at the end of September, most likely on September 30th followed by the launch of the phone on October 7th. This timeline can change of course, if there is a problem with production of the phone.

The sources didn't bring up the possibility of the launch of a cheaper version of the Apple iPhone to compete with lower priced Android models.
There has been speculation that a lower priced iPhone model would be offered by Apple this year with some expecting a cheaper variant of the Apple iPhone 4 or the Apple iPhone 3GS to compete in the low-end arena.

A lot of stupid people buy Android or BBOS or WP7 phones too. It's not just one or the other.

Lol, are you serious lol? Android phones suck six months later because they lose support. Apple still supports the 3GS.

I'm sure this won't be the last rumored date.

I think the other carriers will get it maybe a few months after ATT and Verizon, but I'm sure Apple has seen the light about exclusivity. The rumors of the iPhone lite or budget iPhone is still going strong, so maybe those phones will be exclusive. But I think they really do want a handset for at least all the major carriers.

Be careful I have heard its been confirmed this iPhone has the new upgraded full brain control module in it. I guess someone tried the prototype and......well lets say we never heard from that guy again.

By the way I love the phone arena site but they really gotta be careful to not mention apple's name too much. I guess every time you mention apple its worth a 1.5 million dollar lawsuit against you for every mention. So pretty much I just brought a 3 million dollar lawsuit on myself just by posting this. I hope apple lets me keep my home at least. That's 4.5 million now dammit.

This just in:
iPhone 5 delayed until 2015 to match the number of the year to some extent.
In other news:
Apple sucks.

The new iPhone 5 will lounch in October, but it will be the same as iPhone 4.
Steve will try to convince you to buy it, because he wants your money twice!
And iSheeps will buy it! God bless Steve, this new iPhone 5 is so much better than my iPhone 4!!!

Apple will sell a lot of iPhone 4s/5 or whatever you want to call it, but don't get your hopes up, it will not sell like the iPhone 4 did, a lot of people are under contract with the iPhone 4, plus there better be a design change, a significant one at that to equal the numbers the iPhone 4 put up.

Apple usually resets contracts for iPhones bought within a certain timeframe. Thus making a larger amount of people who upgraded around launch last year, eligible again.

Pre order your 'new' phone how so you can half time to save up a fortune to buy the same phone as your current iphone but with a better camera, this will change everything again again islaves!

Plus the screen might be slightly larger, wow isheep can you believe that???!!!! That means your screen will show the exact same unchanged and barely evolved ui and layout as those of your buddies first generation iphone but just a bit bigger, wow the advances are unreal!

They say some Apples are rotten and have worms inside.........isheep still eat them anyhow!!!

I agree, every year there are minor upgrades. camera, screen, ect. but look at androids line up, see how far we've come from the g1, now we're at sgs2 and in a few months quad core ultraphones with hd displays and with about the same or more pixels per inch than retina display. more mindless people will buy the iPhone but android is superior. Android high end handsets have specs that make iPhone 4 and even the iPhone 5 look outdated. Android's newest software update "ice cream sandwich" is way better than iOS(in my opinion)

Yes isheeps are most concerned as not having your device chained to haveing to use it through itunes for almost everything for example is a serious bug,Lord Jobs has ensure apple is immune to this

I'm glad you guys fight back and forth about this because it gives me something to do at work. But seriously: both Apple and Android operating systems/phones have the things they do better than the other. It's kind of pointless to spat back and forth without acknowledging that each is required to allow the other to thrive.

I agree with you Dave. Most of these pundits argue because deep down subconsciously they are just proving to themselves they made the right decision. That's why 1 of 100, could actually make a compelling argument.
