User Reviews
Summary: I have used this device for a fair amount of time. It has performed well and I am thankful for the choice I made in purchasing it. With that being said there are a few areas where it could be better and more enjoyable. It needs a better touch screen, more RAM, and wireless charging.
Ratings on a Scale of 0 - 10. 0 Being not adequate and 10 being delightful.
Phone Call Quality. I rate phone quality as an 8 out of 10. The Moto G Power 2021 held calls relatively well, with only minor annoyances. It maintained reasonable quality of calls across a variety of environments. Speaker wise it wasn't bad, and for the most part the microphone wasn't bad.
Durability: I rate the Moto Power G 2021 as a 5 out of 10 durability. Mine has survived a few drops without a case but has shown significant damage to the externals of the phone. The glass has held up fairly well. At this point the life span of the phone is reduced by the lack of wireless charging options.
Browsing Performance: In my personal opinion: 4 out of 10. The phone frequently lags due to lack of RAM or processor power. I also would rate the touch screen on this device as tied for one the worst I have ever used.
Battery Performance: 9 out of 10. The battery has held a charge well. It lasts for a fairly decent amount of time. 3 days with minimal usage. 12 - 15 hours with high usage. In my opinion the battery performance would be almost perfect with wireless charging.
Weather Tolerance: I would rate this as 5 out of 10. It does fairly well with hot weather up to and including 140 degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity. It does not perform as well with cold as I have seen it shut off a few times after a 2 - 3 minutes near the 0 Degrees Fahrenheit Range. The touch screen performance frequently suffers whenever there is any type of moisture present.
Touch Screen Experience: 2 out of 10. The touch screen works... sometimes. I don't enjoy the feel of it. It is simply not responsive or enjoyable. In fact: it is more of a hindrance than a help. It also has significant issues whenever there is any type of moisture present.
Gameplay Performance: 6 out of 10. This category suffers because of the touch screen. The Moto G Power 2021 also lacks RAM and processor speed in some cases but I also do not use the phone frequently for anything beyond puzzles.
Text and Screen Readability: 3 out of 10. I really want to be able to use this device to do reading but it is not an enjoyable device to read with. The lack of screen space and the touch screen quality make reading not enjoyable on this device. In daylight the brightness is adequate.
Stability: 6 out of 10. The phone requires a restart to function about every other day.
Customization: 8 out of 10. Good customization options.
- Good performance for the price.
- Battery charge duration is stellar for the current market!
- Camera Quality is decent for daylight shots.
- Expandable storage.
- It limits personal growth opportunities due to the touch screen.
- The frequent freezing due to the lack of RAM.
- The inadequate cold weather tolerance.
- The lack of wireless charging.
I had a good experience with this phone. With a cheap price, performance, battery life and good quality with the phone itself, I had a good time with this phone from the point I got it, (in 2022) to the time I got the 2024 model, all in all, this phone is a good phone to have. This phone would be good for people who want a cheap phone that supplies basic necessities of a normal phone.
- It has fast performance
- A long battery life
- A cheap phone for good quality
- An 8.0x zoom.
- It does not use 5G
- It does not have Wireless Charging
- The camera quality is not that good
