"Nope", "No!" and "Absolutely not" are among the answers that people give when asked if they're switching to the new T-Mobile plans called T-Mix. But some can't wait and are willing to make the switch.
What's seen by some as controversial when it comes to the new T-Mix plans is the multiple variations and customizations one can pick from. While some call it overwhelming, I'm all for it. I know many prefer just two or three straightforward plans to choose from (and thus not waste time with scrolling through multiple options), but if there's some extra customization, count me in.
Real-life pros and cons arguments
There's the "Anyone considering getting any T-Mix plan?" discussion on Reddit and both camps are making their voices heard loud and clear. The OP (original poster), for example, theorized that they'd be getting an extra $20 value by switching to T-Mix More from their current GO5G+ plan with five lines. Currently, the OP pays about $200 (including taxes and fees with autopay)
Another user is also considering switching to T-Mix. Currently, they pay about $250 per month on Experience Beyond for three free lines and three paid, which is about $3,000 a year. "Every September, I use promos to get $1,000–$1,100 off of four new iPhones. I also replace a fifth phone for around $800 off. So I get $4,800 towards new phones, and am only paying out $3,000 a year", the user says.

However, other Redditors advise to think twice before switching to the new T-Mix plans, because doing so could jeopardize existing phone discounts.

The new plans use a system called Picks, which essentially gives customers a limited allowance to spend on perks and services. These include streaming subscriptions such as Netflix and Hulu, but also discounts on new phones.
The problem is that all these benefits draw from the same pool of Picks, meaning customers have to choose how to spend them. For example, someone receiving an $830 discount on two iPhone 17 Pro Max phones could need six Picks to maintain those promotions.

So, if that customer switches to a cheaper T-Mix plan that provides fewer Picks, they might no longer qualify for both discounts. And this isn't necessarily limited to new phone purchases, either: T-Mobile's terms indicate that changing plans could affect active device promotions.
In effect, customers could lose some of the remaining monthly bill credits that make their existing phones cheaper. The installment agreements themselves don't necessarily disappear, but losing promotional credits could leave customers paying more out of pocket.
