T-Mobile wants to be part of your holiday feed with its new Baby Three collab
A collectible blind-box drop lands in two stores – and it’s built for social buzz.
T-Mobile just rolled out a pretty fun holiday surprise, and this one is made for anyone who’s into the whole Baby Three craze that has taken over social media.
Earlier this month, when T-Mobile dropped its holiday promos – including that “ultimate” Apple bundle with the iPhone 17, Apple Watch SE 3, and iPad (A16) – it also said Magenta Status members would get little surprises all the way up to Christmas. And yep, the first one has just landed.
For the holidays, T-Mobile is teaming up with viral toy hit Baby Three for a new plush collab called the “No Filter Series.” Starting December 13, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time, T-Mobile members can line up at special vending machines inside two T-Mobile stores: Times Square in New York City and Alderwood Mall in the Greater Seattle Area.
Each vending machine spits out a blind box with one of eight collectible plushies, and they go for $25, including tax. Of course, they are only around while supplies last – and knowing Baby Three’s track record of selling out everywhere from Los Angeles to Tokyo, I wouldn’t be surprised if these disappear fast.
Besides the plush drop, members can grab exclusive giveaways, take photos, and if you are in NYC, you’ll even catch a special appearance from Paris Hilton at the Times Square store.
T-Mobile is playing up the “surprise factor” nicely, saying that half the fun is not knowing which plush you’ll pull. And if you end up with something that’s not your favorite, you can always trade. The whole idea behind this No Filter Series is that it’s meant to be collectible.
T-Mobile does this kind of stuff a lot – creating little extras around the brand that make it feel more than just a carrier. The T-Mobile Tuesdays freebies are the classic example, with branded merch and giveaways popping up all year. This Baby Three collab feels like the same idea, just taken up a notch by joining forces with a huge toy phenomenon.
If I had to guess, the plan is pretty straightforward: boost loyalty, keep members engaged, and get that bright magenta logo all over Instagram and TikTok through Stories and Posts.
If you are obsessed with these collectible plushies, then this drop is basically a holiday treat – assuming you can snag one before they sell out. And if you are not into plush toys at all, I’m sure T-Mobile will cook up something else soon.
Personally, I still think the best gifts a carrier can give are solid coverage, good customer service, and competitive prices. But sometimes the fun extras – even quirky branded stuff – really do go a long way for people who enjoy this kind of thing.
