The Z Fold 8 is nigh, but the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is more appealing than ever at a huge $500 discount
You obviously don't need to trade anything in to take advantage of Amazon's greatest Z Fold 7 deal to date, but you do have to be a Prime member.

Much like its non-foldable cousin, the book-style powerhouse is on sale at an absolutely unbeatable price for Amazon Prime members only after a $500 markdown. The unprecedented discount applies to both an entry-level 256GB storage configuration that typically costs $1,999.99 and a 512 gig variant normally available for $2,119.99, and whichever of those two models you prefer (and can afford), you'll be able to choose between three similarly eye-catching colorways.
Previously, the Z Fold 7 has been marked down by $350 and $400 on Amazon many times (including as recently as a few weeks ago), but at least as far as I'm aware, the e-commerce giant has never before offered a discount quite as hefty as this new one (with or without strings attached).
The timing of this Prime Day 2026 promotion feels pretty fortunate, as we're close enough to the official announcement of Samsung's next big foldables to know almost everything there is to know about them but not quite so close to their commercial release for you to regret "settling" for last year's Galaxy Z Fold 7.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8, remember, is widely (pun intended) expected to be offered in two flavors, one of which should be a little more affordable and sport a very similar design to Apple's long overdue iPhone Ultra while the other is technically the more "conventional"-looking follow-up to the Z Fold 7. The problem is the latter model, which will likely be called Z Fold 8 Ultra, is rumored to cost more than its predecessor (at launch).
That's more than $2,000, mind you, which makes today's Galaxy Z Fold 7 deal even harder to turn down, especially when you consider the two extra-large and extra-high-quality screens present here and all the other key strengths and selling points highlighted in our in-depth review from last year.
