This year’s Black Friday is so incredible that we’ve managed to round up 60+ unmissable Black Friday phone deals. The offers include everything, from affordable options like the Moto G (2025) to powerhouses like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, OnePlus 13, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

You’ll probably agree with me that choosing a phone when you have over 60 deals is not an easy feat. This is why I compared Amazon’s Galaxy S25 Ultra and OnePlus 13 deals a few days ago, trying to help you make the best buying decision for yourself, as both phones are incredible and worth every penny.

Razr Ultra (2025) 512GB: Save $400 on Amazon!

$400 off (31%)
Amazon is offering a massive $400 discount on the Razr Ultra (2025) with 512GB of storage for Black Friday. This allows you to get this bad boy for just under $900, instead of splurging a whopping $1,299.99. I think the phone delivers incredible value at its current price, so save while the deal lasts!

Galaxy Z Flip 7 256GB: Save $200 on Amazon!

$200 off (18%)
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also selling for less on Amazon. You can currently snag its 256GB version for south of $900, saving you $200. You won't regret getting this beast, either. And while the Razr is more powerful, our friend here should receive seven years of software updates, making it the better choice for shoppers after a long-term investment.

Today, I’m back with another comparison. This time, though, I decided to compare two foldable powerhouses — the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Razr Ultra (2025). Both can be yours for just under $900 during Black Friday, and just like with the Galaxy S25 Ultra and OnePlus 13, you can’t go wrong with getting either of the two.

But hey, we’re bargain hunters, and we’re always looking to score the biggest bang for our buck. So, let’s quickly compare the two and see which one you should get this Black Friday!

Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Razr Ultra (2025): Let the ultimate Black Friday deal battle begin

Round 1 — Performance

Personally, I think Samsung made a mistake by shipping its Galaxy Z Flip 7 with an Exynos 2500 chipset and just 12GB of RAM. Don't get me wrong, the phone is still pretty powerful on its own. It's snappy and responsive. However, when you put it up against the Razr Ultra (2025), Motorola's flagship just wipes the floor with it. That's because Motorola bet on the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the silicon that powers almost all flagship phones this year. And if that's not enough, it offers more RAM — 16GB.

So, obviously, the Razr Ultra (2025) is the better choice here if you're after the best possible performance on a clamshell foldable phone. It’s also the better pick if you play demanding games on your handset. To top this off, for less than $900 you get the 512GB version, whereas for that price you get only 256GB if you opt for the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Round 2 — Cameras

To be honest, it was way harder to determine which phone should win this round. After all, both take stunning photos — for clamshell foldables — in my opinion, so it is a tough choice. The Razr comes with two 50MP cameras on the back, while the Galaxy boasts a 50MP main one and a 12MP ultra-wide snapper.

I like how the photos look on both phones, but it appears to me that the Razr goes for a more natural photography look by letting shadows remain dark and increasing the contrast. In contrast, the Galaxy brightens up the shadowy parts of the image and lowers the overall contrast, making the pictures feel evenly lit and flatter, but less natural. However, you get AI-powered magic tricks with the Z Flip 7, like Magic Eraser.

Therefore, I ultimately decided to give this round to the Razr with the caveat that if editing photos via AI is more your thing, you might want to go for the Galaxy.

Round 3 — Displays

When it comes to displays, I'd say the Razr Ultra (2025) edges out. Sure, both phones deliver stunning visuals on the go and have excellent color accuracy, but the Razr's inner 7.0-inch OLED display boasts a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. Conversely, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 rocks an inner 6.9-inch OLED screen, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a lower 2600 nits of peak brightness. This means the Razr will feel snappier and offer better visibility outdoors in direct sunlight.

Furthermore, the Razr offers slightly more accurate color reproduction and a better Gamma score, meaning the screen is better calibrated for showing images and video with the correct shadow and mid-tone balance. However, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 beats it in the minimum brightness, as it can dim down much lower than the Razr.

As for the cover screens, the Flip 7 has a slightly larger 4.1-inch panel, against 4.0 inches on the Razr. However, the one on the Razr supports a 165Hz refresh rate and can get much brighter.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 comes with a 4,300mAh battery, while the Razr Ultra (2025) rocks a slightly larger 4,700mAh power cell. In our tests, the Motorola beat the Galaxy in the web browsing and gaming categories, but surprisingly, it lasted three hours and 16 minutes less than its rival. So, the Razr Ultra will probably last longer on a single charge, but the gap isn’t as wide as one might think.

As for charging speeds, well, the gap is huge there. With its 68W fast wired charging, the Razr can fully charge its battery in just 43 minutes. Meanwhile, the Z Flip 7 needs one hour and 35 minutes as it supports slower 25W wired charging.

That being said, in order for the Razr to reach 68W charging speeds, you need to use a proprietary Motorola charger, as it might not reach them with any high-wattage charger by companies like Anker, for example. Using such a charger, the phone might not charge that fast. Nevertheless, I think that the winner here is again the Razr.

Round 5 — Software updates

So far, the Razr Ultra (2025) is looking to be the clear winner and the phone that will win your heart. However, the next piece of information might make you reconsider getting it. While it may be more powerful than its competitor, Motorola promises only three major OS updates and four years of bi-monthly security patches for it.

In contrast, the Samsung has committed to delivering seven years of OS updates and security patches for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, making it the standout choice for shoppers who tend to keep their phones until they break or stop receiving updates. Therefore, the winner in this round is the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Round 6 — Price

This is where things get interesting. Under normal circumstances, the winner here will be the Galaxy Z Flip 7, as it starts at $1,099.99, while the Razr Ultra begins at $1,299.99. But since this is Black Friday, both phones are selling at cheaper prices. As I said at the beginning, you can currently get either of them for less than $900 on Amazon. So, the deciding aspect will be the storage space and amount of RAM you get for this price.

By going for the Razr Ultra (2025) you'll get 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM, while going for the Z Flip 7 will get you 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. You can save on the 512GB model too, but it's selling for under $953. Therefore, the verdict is as follows: At regular prices, the Z Flip 7 wins, but at Black Friday prices, the winner in this round is the Razr Ultra (2025).

So, which phone should you get this Black Friday?

I've never hidden that I'm a huge Sammy fan. I love the Galaxy Z Flip 7. But as much as I want to tell you to get the Flip 7 for Black Friday, the bargain hunter in me can't deny how much bang for the buck the 512GB Razr Ultra (2025) offers for under $900. So, while you won't regret getting either of the two phones, I believe the Razr Ultra (2025) is the better choice as long as Motorola's poor update policy isn't an issue for you.

However, if you don't upgrade every year or every other year and keep your phones for as long as possible, than go for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, as it's really hard to give a blind eye to seven year of software support.

But these are my two cents. What do you think? Do you agree with me or you have a different opinon? Let me know in the comments below!
