The Galaxy Watch 4 series launched back in 2021 and marked a pivotal switch from Tizen to Wear OS 3 for the wearables.
Back in 2021, Samsung said the series will get four Wear OS updates, bringing the Watch 4 devices all the way to Wear OS 6/One UI 8 Watch. Four years is a decent lifespan for a smartwatch, given most batteries start to degrade at that point, but now it's time to upgrade.
