Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade free for HTC Touch Pro2, Touch Diamond2 and Snap
A trio of HTC smartphones will be able to upgrade free to Windows Mobile 6.5 when the upgraded OS is released in October. Lars Christian Weisswange, HTC's Regional Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, has reportedly confirmed that the three handsets are the Touch Pro2, the Touch Diamond2 and the Snap. The ROM update is free and will also include the latest version of TouchFLO 3D which is said to closely resemble the Sense UI seen on the Android powered HTC Hero.

At this time, it is unsure which countries outside of Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be included in the upgrade, or whether there is any carrier involvement in the process. For those not able to get the upgrade, the xda developers forum has been a source of Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM's for a few months.
