Some iPhone 18 Pro users are already seeing green and pink lines

I did some digging and found that a similar post was made a while ago on Reddit. The description of the post basically said that the green line appeared on the user's iPhone 18 Pro randomly while they were using the phone.

Are these claims actually correct?

If you inspect the image shared in the second incident closely, you will realize there's something fishy. It shows that the green line is running behind the Wi‑Fi icon, which usually doesn't happen in cases like this. Many Reddit users were quick enough to catch this.

In addition, green lines are usually a lot thicker than what is displayed in the shared image. All this suggests that it is most likely a morphed photo that has been posted online just for engagement.

Coming to the first case. Well, the shared video looks original, as the vertical lines are of the correct thickness, and there are also no signs of them running behind on‑screen elements, as in the second case. So, does that mean you should not get the latest iPhone Pro phones?

You should definitely go for it. You see, the problem doesn't appear to be widespread, as this is the only legitimate video I could find online. That said, it's also worth noting that there's no information on how the phone that encountered the issue was handled by the user, for example, whether it was exposed to accidental drops, pressure, or anything else that could damage the display.

In essence, I would recommend going for the iPhone 18 Pro phones as there is currently not enough and strong evidence to conclude that it does have a green or pink line issue.

There's one issue of which you must be aware, though

While the display problem mentioned above is something you should not care about much, at least as of now, there's another issue some iPhone 18 Pro users are reportedly facing. Basically, Face ID in the latest iPhones is throwing different types of problems at users. Some report that Face ID fails to work during certain actions, like unlocking an app, and then the phone freezes and reboots to the lock screen.

Some users report that they are seeing "Face ID not available" messages when trying to set up Face ID on their iPhone 18 Pro. There are also reports of the Require Attention for Face ID feature not functioning properly on the latest Apple phones.

At the moment, it is unclear exactly what is causing the above-mentioned problems. However, there is a high possibility that the tech giant will ultimately resolve all of these issues with an upcoming software update.

Go for the iPhone 18 Pro series

During almost every new smartphone launch, whether it's from Apple, Samsung, or Google, we often see posts trying to make people believe that the new phone is completely trash or has a serious issue. For instance, during the launch of the Galaxy S26 series, I remember coming across plenty of troll accounts, probably run by die-hard Apple fans, saying that the new Samsung phones are not worth the money. A similar situation was most likely the case with the Reddit post that shared the image of a green line on the iPhone 18 Pro.

Perhaps the account that posted it is run by a die-hard Samsung fan, and posts like this have been made just to hamper the image of the new Apple phones. That said, the shared video appears to be genuine, but as I mentioned above, the issue does not appear to be widespread at the moment, and we also don't know how the device was handled before the display problem occurred on it.
