Virgin Mobile adds current iPhone users to Inner Circle, offering one-year of unlimited for $1
Pre-paid carrier Virgin Mobile announced its new iPhone-only plan back in June. Called the Inner Circle, customers purchasing an iPhone from Virgin receive one-year of unlimited talk, text and high-speed data for $1. After the year is up, members of the Inner Circle pay $50 a month to keep the unlimited data plan going. This includes receiving streaming video at 480p (DVD quality), and streaming music at a rate up to 500 kbps. Cloud gaming streams at 2 mbps. During periods of heavy traffic, these speeds can be throttled.

Today, Virgin is extending the offer to include customers of other carriers who port their number over to Virgin, and activate an existing iPhone on the Inner Circle plan. Those activating an existing iPhone on Inner Circle can bring an Apple iPhone 5s or later to qualify for one-year of unlimited talk, text and high-speed data priced at just a buck. Virgin notes that Inner Circle members will pay $601 over two-years for unlimited data compared to "$1,440, $1,680 or even $1,800 with other carriers."

From now through September 29th, those with a compatible iPhone can receive the Virgin Mobile Inner Circle SIM2 Card Kit for free by ordering it at VirginMobileUSA.com. After September 29th, the kit will cost $25.

And the price breaks continue even after you've been an Inner Circle member for a while. Every time a member of the plan upgrades to a new iPhone, he/she will receive 6 months of unlimited service for $1. We do need to point out that Inner Circle members must sign up for Auto Pay to take advantage of the deal.
