Viacom updates MTV app for iOS

MTV's WatchWith app for iOS has been re-branded by parent company Viacom as just plain old MTV and now includes more video content. MTV fans will greatly appreciate the addition of full episode streaming of MTV shows. You do have to be a subscriber to one of nine cable systems to take advantage of this, including AT&T U-verse, Bright House Networks, Cablevision (Optimum), DIRECTV, Hawaiian Telecom, RCN, Suddenlink, Time Warner Cable and Verizon FiOS. Viacom adds that it is working to add more providers to the list.

In addition to current MTV fare, the app will allow you access to the MTV library and adds trivia questions, backstage photos from MTV shows and acts as a second screen to view while you are engaged in watching your favorite MTV titles as they are broadcast. And one episode for each show will be available for streaming without authentication.
