Verizon Nexus 6 confirmed by leaked marketing material

We've been hearing about a Verizon branded version of the Nexus 6 for some time now. The stock Android phablet has been hard to find. Earlier last month, Google CFO Patrick Pichette admitted that the company can't obtain enough inventory to cover the demand for the device. The Nexus 6 has been "very well received as a new phone," the executive said, but "we had real issues and were unable to secure sufficient inventory to meet the demand we had forecasted."

While the Nexus 6 hasn't been officially unveiled by Verizon at the moment, there is a sign that it is on the way. One of our readers, who says that he works at a Verizon store, sent us a picture of a package that is apparently tied into a Nexus 6 launch by Verizon. The label on the package says that it is Merchandising material from Verizon and specifically mentions the "Nexus 6 Launch" by name.

The marketing material is to be held by the store until the launch, the date of which we don't know. What we do know is that the Nexus 6 was included in our list of 2014's best phablets, so we believe that there are more than just a few Verizon customers waiting for the Nexus 6 to drop.

Thanks for the tip!
