Samsung Galaxy S5 actually has two pink versions in Japan

16comments
This morning we told you that Samsung announced a pink Galaxy S5 in Japan, alongside the regular white and black models which are already available around the world. Well, it turns out that there are two pink versions of the S5 that are being released in Japan - just because this color is highly appreciated there. According to Samsung, the first pink hue of the Galaxy S5 is called Sweet Pink, or Soft Metallic Rose. This variant will be sold by NTT DoCoMo (Japan’s largest mobile carrier) starting tomorrow. The second variant is called Champagne Pink, and it’s a mix of pink with gold. The Galaxy S5 Champagne Pink will be sold via KDDI, also starting tomorrow.

It appears that neither of the pink S5 variants will be released in other markets. But at least you can see both of them in the images below. We also added photos of two Japanese girls in pink - because Samsung posted them to show us how popular pink is in Japan (or maybe just because they’re pretty).

As an interesting fact, Japan's the last of the countries where Samsung is officially launching its Galaxy S5 flagship - which is now available in around 150 markets across the globe.
