Samsung GALAXY Note II gets maintenance update in the U.K.
Over the in the U.K. on Tuesday, owners of the Samsung GALAXY Note II are receiving an update to the phablet. Is it the eagerly awaited update to Android 4.2.2. Nope. Afraid not. That update is still on for sometime in the third quarter and will bring some of the new features seen on the Samsung Galaxy S4 to the device. But just last week, we passed along the news that the update had been delayedbecause of the new version of TouchWiz that had to be tested first.
What this update does do is fix some bugs and brings added stability to the model. Bug fixes and enhanced stability are the smartphone world's equivalent of saying that a blind date has a great personality. This update doesn't have the beauty of Android 4.2.2, but is a necessity to make the device run at its best. In fact, you might find your battery running a little bit longer after this update is installed.
