Red Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be sold in China; Motorola tells Apple it did red first
Yesterday, when Apple introduced the PRODUCT(RED) Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus, not much was said about selling the phones in China. Thanks to a report out of China that was released earlier today, we now know that the special edition handsets will be launched in the country this coming Friday, the same date that they will be released in the U.S. A portion of the revenue goes toward AIDS research.

Overall, in China Apple will offer 73,410 units of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in red. The phones, which were shipped into the country starting in the beginning of this month, are valued at the equivalent of $45.9 million USD.

Meanwhile, Motorola took a shot at Apple on its weibo site. With a promotional image titled "Always Red " that shows a number of recent Motorola models wearing the color, the manufacturer is pointing out that it has already offered red as a color option for a number of years, thus beating Apple to the punch. We should point out that on some models, like the Moto Z, the red color is actually available via a Style Shell replaceable back cover.

Accompanying the image on weibo was a comment made by Motorola's parent Lenovo. Translated, the comment reads, "Someone imitates my face, and someone imitates my "products", but you can not imitate my taste!" Ouch! Lenovo told weibo subscribers to re-share the post to have a shot at winning a Power Pack Micro power bank.
