Red Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be sold in China; Motorola tells Apple it did red first
Yesterday, when Apple introduced the PRODUCT(RED) Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus, not much was said about selling the phones in China. Thanks to a report out of China that was released earlier today, we now know that the special edition handsets will be launched in the country this coming Friday, the same date that they will be released in the U.S. A portion of the revenue goes toward AIDS research.

Overall, in China Apple will offer 73,410 units of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in red. The phones, which were shipped into the country starting in the beginning of this month, are valued at the equivalent of $45.9 million USD.

Meanwhile, Motorola took a shot at Apple on its weibo site. With a promotional image titled "Always Red " that shows a number of recent Motorola models wearing the color, the manufacturer is pointing out that it has already offered red as a color option for a number of years, thus beating Apple to the punch. We should point out that on some models, like the Moto Z, the red color is actually available via a Style Shell replaceable back cover.

Accompanying the image on weibo was a comment made by Motorola's parent Lenovo. Translated, the comment reads, "Someone imitates my face, and someone imitates my "products", but you can not imitate my taste!" Ouch! Lenovo told weibo subscribers to re-share the post to have a shot at winning a Power Pack Micro power bank.

Motorola you have to improve your marketing techniques and focus on yourself and not on others.

I think the article needs some rephrasing, it's worded to sound like the phones are worth $45.9 million each

Motorola needs to stfu and focus on their smartphones. It goes without saying that red isnt a new colour for smartphones, but once apple has done it that's it.Expect every remotely 'red' phone to be a copy of the iPhone 7, like how Apple now owns the colours black and pink /s

My God. BlackBerry not mentioned in article and you bring them up anyway. Show the doctor on the doll where BlackBerry touch you.

I see that you are trying to be my lackey. I'm afraid I'm not taking applications at the moment. So you should probably stick to sucking up to MG and actually "read" my comment next time. I mentioned several companies. That goes for you and the knuckledraggers giving you a thumbs up.

I see that you cannot keep MG from your mouth either. He really take up all the space in that tiny brain you have. He is not present in this article, but you mention his name just like you mention BlackBerry. They occupy everything in your life. You are pathetic stalker now.

Why are you always bringing up BlackBerry when it's irrelevant af?

He always bring them up to attempt to troll them. They are relevant in different markets and he cannot stand it. He hate anything not Apple. He is biggest troll on PA.

You should worry less about me and more about your poor sentence structure. I've seen better English from babies.

You should worry less about BlackBerry and MG, and more about seeing psychiatrist to help get them out of your tiny brain. You are on them like the fly is on human excrement.

Can you read? I mentioned several other companies besides blackberry.

Can you stop being troll and liar. You only mention 2 other company besides BlackBerry, but only one is relevant to this article, so my point is valid. You cannot keep BlackBerry from your mouth, even when article isn't about them.

Apple is the only manufacture that I know of whose products support Product Red, but I don't think that's what Moto/Lenovo are saying. Yay, your products were "red" first - woop dee doo!

29. RebelwithoutaClue unregistered

Motorola has supported Product Red too, like many other companies https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Product_Red#Products And I doubt Apple is giving 50% of the profits to Product Red, like Motorola did.

36. Mxyzptlk unregistered

They aren't supporting it now, which is the point, clueless one.

42. RebelwithoutaClue unregistered

Actually, he said: "Apple is the only manufacturer that I know of whose products support Product Red" to which I claimed there are many other companies that do. While Motorola stopped supporting, other companies still do. Which was HIS point, humorless one.

Interesting to see the usual anti-iPhone folks, go inn on another manufacture for saying they are 1st at something.

37. Mxyzptlk unregistered

That's what they do. They are low in the self-esteem department.

Seriously waiting to see how many articles you will try to publish for the red iphone

When did Apple claim they did Red first? They've been working with Product Red for YEARS anyway. At least 10 years. Regardless, keep being jealous of the iPhone, Moto.

But I guess it's important to clear it out in public. Orelse, if Moto comes with a red product anytime soon, Apple fans would try their best to point that out as a direct copy.

"Orelse, if Moto comes with a red product anytime soon, Apple fans would try their best to point that out as a direct copy." Dude, when have Apple fans ever gave enough of a s**t about Moto to accuse them of, anything? They're irrelevant....

Its just advertising. When Apple has those colored 5C model, didnt anotyer OEM talk about how imitation was flattering? But there fans who just bought an ipbone 7 on lease, who will trade to this one just for the color. Am sure Moto wishes they had so many suckers.
