Pinterest now available for Android, Apple iPad
Although Pinterest for Android was never introduced at Google I/O as speculated, the app has finally made it to the Google Play Store. Pinterest is a virtual bulletin board, or "pin board" if you will, which explains part of the app's name. The remaining part of the name explains what you are pinning to the board which is all of the things that interest you. And like other social type applications, you are leaving your board open for the world to read. See an article or find a picture online that you want to pin on your board? Simply hit the "pin it" button that you install on your browser and its done along with a sourcelink to credit the original website.

In addition, Pinterest is now available for the Apple iPad. Originally, the app was available only for Apple iPhone users, but those using Apple's tablet can now join in the fun. And part of that fun goes beyond creating your own pinboard to browsing through the boards made by others. Whether it's a recipe, that Babe Ruth signed baseball on your mantle (no pun intended) or your bucket list, you are almost certain to find others with the same likes and dislikes.

You can download the app for free from the App Store or Google Play Market. As a side note, there has been speculation that Apple will purchase Pinterest competitor, The Fancy.
