NPR One: follow the 2016 election or just listen to fascinating stories and shows

If you're looking for a way to follow the 2016 election in a way that is a bit out of the CNN mainstream coverage, here's a neat app that you can check out: NPR One.

The National Public Radio's broadcasts, of course, cover a vast amount of topics, including stories and its own shows, but NPR One has also got a devoted separate 2016 election section that is dedicated to all things around Hillary Clinton's and Donald Trump's nominations.

We recommend it because it's good quality content with no annoying ads: its public radio, after all. You can choose between shows, programs, and podcasts, and best of all NPR One learns what you like and serves you content that should be interesting to hear and not just everything. You can fine-tune its selections by manually tapping on the light bulb icon to indicate you are interested in a particular topic or a story.

As a neat bonus, NPR One works with wearables as well, with support for both the Apple Watch and Android Wear.  You can check out the official app at the links right below.
