Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant finally kicks off pre-orders at the low price of $80
Google Assistant is truly everywhere nowadays, from your Android or iOS phone to the search giant's growing family of in-house smart speakers, as well as third-party audio products made by companies as diverse as Bang & Olufsen, Sonos, and Bose

One very intriguing Google Assistant device you may have forgotten about is the aptly titled Lenovo Smart Clock that was formally unveiled way back in January. After an inexplicably long wait, people can finally pre-order this extremely convenient bedroom alarm clock with Smart Display functionality at retailers like Walmart and Home Depot.

Priced at $79.99, the Smart Clock is currently scheduled to start shipping in early June, essentially translating the capabilities of Lenovo's 8 and 10-inch Smart Displays on a compact 4-inch touchscreen. The main focus, of course, is on customizable sound and media alarms, which you can quickly set up with voice or touch. At the same time, the affordable, lightweight, and discreetly designed device supports everything from smart home controls (for over 10,000 products from 1,000+ brands) to weather info, news, and yes, music streaming.

Believe it or not, Lenovo claims the diminutive Smart Clock is capable of "filling up a large bedroom" with its audio prowess, courtesy of a full-range 6W speaker and two passive radiators. You also get multi-room functionality allowing you to add the Lenovo Smart Clock to a home speaker group to play music across multiple devices in several rooms. Last but not least, Chromecast compatibility means your voice can command your TV or speakers as far as audio and video streaming is concerned with this $80 accessory as well.
