Journeys & Notes is a crowdsourced Android travel app from Microsoft Garage
Microsoft Garage is on a roll lately, releasing a suite of Android apps that have been in the research and experimental pipeline there for a while. After a great lock screen replacement, called Next, Microsoft Garage is now delivering a "delightfully curious" social Android app, dubbed Journeys & Notes.
The aim is to create a community of travelers, no matter if it will be just on foot between two Metro stations, or trekking through the Himalayas. Upon checking-in you can leave notes, advice and reviews for fellow travelers, and tune in the community to read their impressions from your destination, or just meet great new people. You can, of course, remain hidden behind your nickname, keep a log of your travels, and share your stories for the community to see. It's a pretty inventive social way to travel, no matter if you are alone or with a company, so give it a go, if the video below piques your interest.
