Google Nexus 6 vs Google Nexus 5 vs LG G3: specs comparison battle

The Motorola-made Google Nexus 6 phablet is already here an and specs-wise it climbs to the very top of the smartphone food chain, next to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and a few other devices that have nothing to be ashamed of in the hardware department. Quite the contrary, the battle in the top-tier is getting more intense and decisive by the minute.

Surely, the ginormous Nexus 6 is a pretty substantial improvement over its predecessor, the Google Nexus 5 standard-bearer, and only a few entries in the specs sheet have remained unaltered and unimproved. Thus, it is easily foreshadowing Google's 2013 flagship smartphone by a significant margin, as the Nexus 6 has been endowed with everything but the kitchen sink!

It can be seen without the shadow of a doubt that the Nexus 6 is a worthy successor to the LG-made Nexus 5, but how does it fare against yet another high-ranking Android warrior, the LG G3? We have all the prerequisites for a battle to the death at hand.

Let's see how things will unravel!

$650 is crazy expensive for this phone. I was expecting around the $500.00 range.

Exactly. An LG G3 is $579 even with ATT's markup. I can't see why the Nexus 6 should cost more than this. The Nexus has an 805 vs. an 801, but take away the ATT markup, and it should balance out. Something around $500-550 seems more reasonable than $650+.

Compare this to the Note 4. You're paying $100 extra for a pen. I'll rather save $100 and get Nexus incentives. (Don't get me wrong, if you want the S-Pen I'm not putting it down. Just saying the Note 4 is really the only apples to apples comparison) The Nexus 5 is now the smaller display sized + low-cost Nexus. The Nexus 6 is the premium Nexus with no compromises (we've wanted this for years!).
