From August 19th through the 21st, save up to $200 on the Apple iPhone 6 Plus from Verizon
With the Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus just weeks away from being unveiled, some retailers and carriers are already trying to clear their shelves of older models. Take Verizon. The nation's largest carrier has a deal on the Apple iPhone 6 Plus that starts tomorrow, August 19th, and runs through August 21st.

With the deal, you can save $200 on the 64GB or 128GB versions of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus. Save $150 on the 16GB version of the device. The sale price take effect when you purchase the device using the installment-like device payment plan. Use the device payment plan to buy any smartphone before Sunday ends, and Verizon will waive your activation or upgrade fees.

Stuck with another carrier right now? Port your current number over with you to Verizon and receive up to $650 to cover a phone that you've been paying off. You do need to trrade-in that phone and buy a new handset from Verizon. Or, you can receive up to $350 to cover those nasty early termination fees that you might incur by switching.

Remember, this deal expires on August 21st so make sure you head over to your local Verizon store this weekend before its too late.

That was a lame ass post, considering in less than a month, a brand new Plus model will be out. Stop whoring for green thumbs troll.

Your right it was lame post especially when it's more like 23 months (almost 2 years) for the older iPhone 6 plus with a 8 mp camera, 1 gb of ram. With iOS 10 being released soon. You will need more ram for sure. Apple is even releasing a minimum of 32gb of storage for the new iPhone 7's, so I feel sorry for the people who bought the 16gb iPhone 6/6s devices. Actually what am I saying those people deserve what they got for trusting Apple in the first place.

Don't understand why people just can't respect that simple reality. For some reason, he loves to attack me with that. A turd.

Don't take it personally, sgodsell is a champion for Android. I agree with his technical fact however phone are treated as like fashionable clothing you would prefer what's comfortable and go with your style rather than having x numbers of pockets. However there are people that prefer having more pockets! Just individual preference.

People forget preference. We buy what we want.

What? This is a carrier promotion. I don't understand how you guys can't tell the difference between a carriers promo vs a OEM promo. OEM promo is like, pre-order the Note 7 and get either a free Gear Fit 2 or a 256GB SD CARD. A carrier Promo - Verizon offering $200 of the cost of an iPhone. If this was an Apple Promo, it would says Apple is offering. $200 discount. Apple doesn't tell the carrier how to sell the phone. The carriers buys the phone already. You're paying them back. Not Apple. Apple has already been paid. I'm sure VWZ is stuck with a lot of iPhone stock, because the S7 and S7 edge is selling like hotcakes, even while costing more than an iPhone and the Note has already seem higher than expected demand. It says Verizon man. You can't go to Apples website and get this deal.

so you are telling me that a 2 year old phone is more expensive than the oneplus 3 , the Axon 7 and the Huawei Honor 8 ? WTH is wrong with people these days ?!

Ask yourself about the market position of those 3 devices, and you'll have answered your own question as to why that is.

i know, apple is a company they are there to make money im just shocked that many people would go for an expensive 2 year-old phone rather than affordable and great 2016 flagships

For some, it's about the eco system, not being new or spec'd out. I'd pick a 6 Plus over those devices too, not cause it's better, but because of Apple. When you go to sell it, it's worth more, the customer support is better, and it's 3rd party support from businesses is more. Those are great devices, but the mainstream consumer buys for comfort, not specs. They'll buy what they're used to, not always the best strategy, but it's how it goes. Like how some people will only buy Porsche, or BMW.

Are you really all that surprised........ the ecosystems are totally different. For people who haven't ever NOT had an iPhone, there'd be a huge problem. What about the apps they've bought? The music they've built up on iTunes? The ability to communicate with family through FaceTime? Etc. No everything in the world is about PRICE? Most people look at things from a convenience perspective man. Don't be obtuse......

look i dont hate apple products , they make some of the best phones in the business my problem is the huge number of people that are ready to dive into the market and buy a 2 year-old iphone without exploring any options (i know many of them), my point is if the consumer doesn't search for different good options and do research OEMs will never move forward to please our tech needs. look at the Note 7 ... i was soo excited with all the leaks but it came out to be a disappointment... just a recycled 6 month old phone (and people who say other than that are fanboys) right now im looking forward to the iphone 7 plus , the Huawei mate 9 , the lg v20 and the nexus marlin .. and thats the point . options and research before buying

I totally get where your coming from as a tech enthusiast.....but consumers don't hold a shred of your knowledge when it comes to phones. Most people think of phones as the thing Instagram derives from. They don't tinker, fidget, adjust, manipulate, etc anything that they don't feel they should. Kinda like picking your car.....it just gotta run decently most of the time. It doesn't help that most of the phones you've mentioned get NO PT or marketing....so how are people supposed to know they exist? I keep saying this, but normal people have much bigger problems to worry about than the brand of phone us Internet dweebs recommend :D.

i get your point but if i were to get an iphone in the 400-550 $ range i would go for the SE its better in every aspect, 5 minutes of research on the browser will tell you that .. people literally spend more time researching porn :P i dont care what brand people buy im just all for tech advancing and i think people shouldn't just go with the herd (like some apple and samsung fanboys)

29. kiko007

They shouldn't go with the herd true, but you can't really fault human nature. People are creatures of constant social awareness......a great deal of our own preferences derive from that of others. I'd personally go for an SE as well, despite the smaller screen and lack of 3D Touch. However, try not to overly criticize those who conform to norms. It's instinctive, something not easily rectified either.

First off, people who talk about the iPhone has never said it wasn't a good phone. We only say, for what Apple is charging it should be better, or they should charge less. The iPhone is still a great phone. But a phone with 2 year old tech shouldn't cost the same as a phone with the latest technology. Phones have had fast charging for 3 years now. Why dowsnt Apple? Phones have had 1440p resolution for 3 years. Why doesn't Apple? Some OEMS have had the best camera in their phones for 3 years. Why doesn't Apple? There are phone smaller than the iPhone with larger batteries. Why is Apple battery so small? There are phones that cost half as much as the iPhone with better screen to body ratios. There are also phones with better design language for less and equal money. I don't care what is popular, I do care about specs. But only because I expect if I pay $900 for a phone, it's gonna have the best possible specs vs specs from 2 years ago. So iPhone buyers are only being criticized for spending money blindly and those who don't well, we still feel something is wrong with them. Is it not normal to think this way. It's not the same as asking why a person spends 6 figures for a car. The answer is because they have the money. When you watch people spend more money for less it's only natural to question their sanity. Just like you would question the sanity of a person who would love to play with fire. Right? Simple should never cost a lot of money. It never has. Only complicated and sophisticated things cost a lot of money. Yes the iPhone is somewhat sophitisticated. But so is a One Plus 3 in that category.

Why do we need Facetime. Facebook Messenger has video calling, yahoo has it, Skype and even what's app. All of iTunes music files will play on any Android natively. You don't have to buy an expensive iPhone to use those thibgs. I can make a video call directly from my Samsung without opening nothing but the phone app. Even though you can launch z FaceTime from the phone app on iOS, it's still a separate applicationn. There is honestly no true benefit to IOS over Android. It's just you have choice and you chose iOS. Fine. Choose it. But why do you need to compare. Convenience? For many yes. Most of it is just because it's popular. If that is your reason fine. I just think there are better reason to buy a phone...like it's worth what it costs.
