Cricket Wireless Black Friday 2016: get the decently-specced ZTE Grand X 4 for just $49.99
If you are looking for an affordable phone that doesn't come with the worst-possible hardware specs, Cricket Wireless has an interesting offer for you. For this Black Friday, Cricket is selling the ZTE Grand X 4 at just $49.99 with activation on a smartphone plan.

Cricket started selling the ZTE Grand X 4 last week at the price of $129.99. The prepaid carrier's Black Friday 2016 offer discounts the phone by 61%.

Looking at the hardware specs, the ZTE Grand X 4 provides quite a lot of value at $49.99. The handset comes with a 5.5-inch display running at 720 by 1280 pixels, a Snapdragon 425 chipset with a 1.4GHz quad-core CPU and an Adreno 308 GPU as well as 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Other specs include a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP secondary shooter on the front, a fingerprint scanner, a Type-C USB port, and a 3140mAh battery with Quick Charge 1.0. On the software side, the Grand X 4 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The ZTE Grand X 4 already provided a lot of bang for your buck at its original price of $129.99. At $49.99 for a brand new unit, smartphones really don't get any better than this.

What do you guys think? Can you think of a better phone that retails below the $100 mark?
