Cortana for Android updated with additional customization options

Cortana for Android updated with additional customization options
Microsoft continues to bring new features and improvements to its digital personal assistant, Cortana, especially that the AI is no longer exclusive to Windows Phone users.

Android users have been able to download Cortana on their devices for quite some time and since one of the reasons they prefer Google's platform over other OSes is customization, it make sense for Microsoft to add more of these features to its personal assistant.

The newest update for Cortana for Android devices bring one additional customization option, which is a bit crippled by the fact that it doesn't really offers many choices.

What we mean is that those who are now using Cortana on their Android devices will receive an update that will allow them to customize their personal digital assistant by choosing a different color.

Unfortunately, there are only four colors available to choose from: purple, blue, green and black. But any new feature is more than welcomed, so we can't complain. It's also worth noting that the update hasn't made it to iOS, so it looks like this feature will be exclusive to Cortana for Android, at least for a while.

If you haven't yet used Cortana on your Android phone, then you should know the AI is not available in all countries and it's only compatible with a limited number of devices. Make sure you check Google Play store for compatibility.

And I thought that Cortana was available on all Androids...? Anyhow... I've a Windows Phone myself. And I honestly don't care about Cortana. She might be useful for some, but not to this old man. Still, it (she?) is quite fun and possess quite a sense of humor. But other than that, Nah...! I absolutely HATE talking with my smartphones. It makes me feel like a bloody cyborg or something...! G'Day!

"The newest update for Cortana for Android devices bring one additional customization option, which is a bit crippled by the fact that it doesn't really offers many choices." That line pretty much sums up Apple in general ... few choices. I know some people don't want choices (obvious by the number of Apple devices sold today). But that one line can be used on pretty much every Apple device made. It DOES make them more secure in most instances, and EASIER to use. These are important reasons for many to want them. Scanning this article that line jumped out at me and summed up everything in that one sentence. I'll try to remember that the next time my Android device is vexing me with one of it's customizations that is acting up. Maybe I won't get so irritated knowing it's the price you pay for choice. On IOS an update to let you chose between 4 colors may be a big deal.... it's kind of a joke on Android.. really? That's it? You call THAT an update? But then changing colors probably isn't going to introduce new bugs to the app.... or any new real features...
