Control your Android device through your desktop browser with this app
Have you ever sat at your PC and found yourself thinking "I sure wish I could check my phone right from my computer screen, instead of reaching for it", or "I sure wish to play some of my phone's games on the PC"? No? We neither, but it can now be done, nonetheless.
Weak Control is a new app over at the Play Store. It allows users to control their smartphone or tablet via their desktop PC. In order for it to work, you need to use Google Chrome on the computer. Once the app and browser are synced, you get a real-time stream of whatever the phone has on its display and full control over it, mouse and keyboard support included.
What this means is that you can stream a movie that you happen to have on your phone, but not on your PC, in HD, too; you can launch phone-specific apps and enjoy them on the bigger PC monitor; or you could just text from a distance, if you are feeling particularly lazy.
The downside is that the app needs root access to function. But then again, it just looks like one of these apps that are made to please tech-heads and tinkerers, so chances are – if you are interested in Weak Control – you either know how to root your device or it's high time you learned how to do it.
