BlackBerry Passport Gold Edition is an eye-catching premium version of the phone
The BlackBerry Passport has already caught many an eye with its unique shape, boxy screen and a QWERTY keyboard that doubles as a touchpad. The device has already sold out twice on BlackBerry's online store. While we have seen the business-oriented handset strut its stuff in black and white, a new variant of the phone has been revealed.

The BlackBerry Passport Gold Edition not only has the look that makes you drool, it adds a luxurious looking Gold trim to the handset. Even the volume and power buttons are covered in Gold.

It is unclear whether BlackBerry itself is involved, or if a third party is offering to customize your Passport. There is a name tagged with one of the pictures of the device, Paris Rose Gold. And while the Gold Passport doesn't appear on its site, the company does customize handsets using Gold. One little hiccup. A close-up look of the QWERTY keyboard shows that this model is apparently not destined for a country where English is the native language.

Your opinion is it looks cheap, ours is that it does not. No need for a brain check as anyone with good vision can see that this is one sexy looking handset.

No, but I knew you would type one had you posted a comment in a BlackBerry article nonetheless. You are that predictable.

Sure it's not you who has too much time in his hands and not just me being that predictable?

You sure it's not YOU that has too much time on your hands that you have to make a negative comment on most BlackBerry articles lately?

You've got a dirty mind, Mxy. I was referring to this: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/oblong

You were the first to imply it with another "no u" response

I implied nothing. Your brain just needs to be washed. Oh, wait...you're already brainwashed...

What the hell is this. I think this is very good looking and exclusive smartphone design, even if it compares to iPhone's. But in my opinion, Blackberry need to improve their software facilities so it will be able to fight with any other OS such as Android, iOS or WindowsPhone as well. Keep in mind, people not only want a nice design but also a great software. But if you are a fashion lover, you can ignore all about software and choose this phone.

Nice first post. Now maybe go and have a look at what BB have been doing with their software. You might be surprised!

BlackBerry has done some phenomenal things with their software. BB10 is more than capable of competing with Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. If you haven't already, you should spend some time using a BlackBerry 10 handset. As osbert has said, you will indeed be surprised.

The BlackBerry Passport looks sexy in gold! Nothing cheap or bad looking about this phone in the least! I wish this handset were indeed coming to the states, but I believe it's for Dubai only. Hopefully, BlackBerry will release the Passport in other colors here in the States that I have seen in renders/pick-up.

Probably the best looking gold phone there is. And I'm not a big Blackberry fan.

Agreed. They usually look horrifically tacky. But having just the trim looks quite understated. Still wouldn't pay extra for it though.
