Apple adds more "Shot on iPhone 6" videos to its collection

Apple adds more
The "Shot on iPhone 6" campaign continues with a pair of videos added to Apple's World Gallery. Both videos are 15 seconds long, keeping with the length of other videos promoted on the website. And each one shows off one of the popular features available with the 8MP iSight camera on the back of the Apple iPhone 6.

The slo-mo capabilities of the camera are displayed in a video submitted by Willian P., who shot it in Votorantim, Brazil. With the song "I Know There’s Gonna (Be Good Times)" by DJ Jamie xx playing in the background, we see a quick bicycle trick performed.

The second clip, taken by Jirasak P. in Chaiyaphum, Thailand, also displays the slo-mo feature. But unlike the previous video, which shows how the iPhone 6 camera can slow down a fast moving event, the second video shows how serene and peaceful a more leisurely event appears in slo-mo. The song selection on this clip is "Caracol," by Tremor.

The rear camera on the Apple iPhone 6 shoots 720p slow-mo video at 240fps. With slow motion photography, the more frames per second achieved, the smoother the effect looks.

You can check out both videos by clicking on the video slideshow below.

We all know the iPhone line takes great pics/vids, now up the ram, throw in an A9 tri core, 12 meg rear/3 meg front cam and some force touch, and it's all good sonnnnn. It had better get muti window slide over, and popup video too. Notice I used Samsung lingo for split view and picture in picture, well they had it first.

Yep bro, I simply want it future proof for a few years, so it can get all the new features. iOS 9 looks absolutely outstanding, and I'll mos def get the new one, if it runs all the features. I'm selling my mini 2, and getting an air two. I use my iPad just as much as my iPhone, and I've gotta have those multi tasking features.

the split windows multitasking stuff isnt a huge thing for me most phone screens are too small for it. I am looking forward to it on my ipad air though.

For me it's pretty big. I wasn't gonna sell my mini 2, until I saw it. I use multi window a lot on my edge, so I hope it comes to the iPhone.

I've tracked down a 128 gig Air 2 on CL for $625. Guy has the receipt and accepted Missing u offer of $610. I'm headed out to sell my mini 2 for $250, so that'll work big time.

It's bought, and done with. My actual outta pocket cost was just $385. Mine is white and silver, same as my mini 2 was. I have to get use to the size all over again. The gold one is the best looking.

There were iPhone pop up video windows since the 3GS on jailbroken devices (as well as split screen - which was useless on that screen but later used on jailbroken iPads, as well as a plethora of features you now see on our beautiful handsets today; but I won't go there), way before Samsung or any other OEM did this. Did Apple do it? Nope! But it was done. I find it funny (not you, generally), that many people on this website says "Apple fanboys think they do everything first". Just using this as an example where tech was used before someone else. Tech is tech. This rubbish "they did it first" gimmicky shot used by fanboys needs to stop (again, not directed at you). Let's focus on, who does it better. Like how SS succeeds in certain aspects better over LG and applies it better, etc etc.

By the way, you are most definitely right on the future proofing aspect. A future proofed phone is very much welcomed and is for sure a wise move. Apple has already taken steps on iOS9 to help the older models, so hopefully, Apples eyes aren't too far left of whats really there. Also, curious Jedi, why do you personally want a future proofed phone if you are constantly upgrading your phone every 1-1.5 years?

If I get one that's good on all the features for a few years, I'd stick with it. There's nothing wrong with having the latest greatest though. Post 7 was a good one BTW. I didn't know jailbreakers were already doing it back then. Thanx for the info.

Behind the 5, it was my most reliable and best performing one.

Hah, for me too, the longest phone I kept including all my "dumb" cellular telephones was 3GS - from the day it was released, up to the day I got iPhone 5s... Cracked screen 3 times, dipped in water twice (one of them times for more than a few seconds until I realized it was mine - still worked but wouldnt charge for first 1.5 days). The third time the screen shattered, I decided not to fix at first as I was planning to get a 4S, but after about 4 months the touches stopped responding well - so I used voice commands for everything which allowed me to run a business and keep up with everything for 2-3 weeks until I had the time to replace the screen - imagine that, 3GS and used for 2 or 3 weeks with NO ability to use anything on screen - ALL VOICE!!! (and this was predated before Apple got Siri on newphones - which 3GS never got). I know I sound like a fanboy, but: Take that! 2009 Android and Google Now.... Kept that phone for another year and a half after that until I got 5S.. 5S was dropped in sink with running water already once, but that didnt affect it, and numerous of spills at dinner table. dropped many times (looks like it's been beaten with a chisel) and never shattered - mind you, my phone is naked (love the feel of the device - cannot hide it in case)... Hopefully 6s will hide the camera hump - very put off by that part... but I like 5s design over any iphone and every phone made to date, even the samsungs 6s edge (but the edge looks better than iPhone 6)....

Very nice SloMo video. Not just like the S6/Edge directly mocking iPhones because of the usb lightning cable. Can they charge those 2013 and 2014 model in any Samsung Galaxy and Note into this charging pad? The answer is NO. While in iPhone USB lightning cable can use at iPhone 5, 5C, 5S. And iPad Mini 1, 2, 3 and iPad Air 1, 2.

Wireless charging was available since the Galaxy S3 which came out in 2012. Just needed to change the back cover, which doesn't cost much at all. Since you brought up apple's wire charging, I'd like to point out that all galaxy phones can be used with the mirco usb cable, including the note 3, which has usb 3.0 but still able to use it with standard one. Quick question, why didn't you say anything about quick charging? LMAO

I know what you mean. Samsung, HTC, LG, Sony, Nokia, Blackberry and many other brands that running android are the same usb charger. But you don't get what I mean? May question is, Can you charge your S3, S4, S5, Note 3 into this charging pad for S6/Edge?

yeh but if you date back to 2010 and older, you'll find samsung phones that used different kind of ports - I know because I find these phones in abandoned homes before we remodel - and I cant use my daughter toy chargers to charge these, like I do for modern android phones... But regarding "changing back covers" to include Qi charging... with iPhones they have stickers-type you put on back of the phone to use the same charging pad - so if you really want it - you got it...https://www.google.com/search?q=wireless+charging+for+iphone&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS566US566&espv=2&biw=1491&bih=1030&tbm=isch&imgil=shO6LU0QPA14IM%253A%253BbKvVGRC9oRsJFM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fappleinsider.com%25252Farticles%25252F15%25252F06%25252F25%25252Fnew-faster-qi-wireless-charging-spec-could-get-an-iphone-from-0-to-60-in-30-minutes&source=iu&pf=m&fir=shO6LU0QPA14IM%253A%252CbKvVGRC9oRsJFM%252C_&dpr=0.9&usg=__UYEhhLeEIBKS5mW7GrHB6eTKUWY%3D&ved=0CGEQyjc&ei=ucWQVcSkC5C4ogTH9ZHQCw#imgrc=shO6LU0QPA14IM%3A&usg=__UYEhhLeEIBKS5mW7GrHB6eTKUWY%3D

You are talking like samsung invented wireless charging a week ago lol, there are people using that since 2010. I have S3 cable which I can use on pretty much 97% of phones but lightning cable can be used on very few devices which btw got terrible reviewshttp://store.apple.com/us/product/MD818AM/A/lightning-to-usb-cable
