Android 5.0.2 factory images posted for Nexus 10 and Nexus 7 (2013) tablets
On Friday, Google posted factory images of Android 5.0.2 for both the Nexus 7 (2013) and the Nexus 10 tablets. Last month, the OG Nexus 7 received an update to Android 5.0.2 as well as a factory image for the same Android build. The new update offers just a few bug fixes and the build might be limited to older versions of Nexus tablets. For example, the update has not been sent out to the Nexus 9, which is the most recent tablet offered under the Nexus name.

The factory image is basically your ticket home if you've been hit by a disaster while customizing your Android device. Or, if an update is coming to your rooted handset, and you need to flash an Android build on your phone to receive it OTA, using the factory image will quickly resolve your problem.

One last thing that you can use the factory image for would be to update your Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 10 to Android 5.0.2, without having to wait for an OTA update. You can find the factory image for the two tablets by clicking on the sourcelink below. The new version number is LRX22G
