Amazon has sweet deals on the unlocked U.S. Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+
Early last month, we told you that Amazon had cut the price of the unlocked 64GB Samsung Galaxy S9 to $488. Now, the same phone is available for $455 as another $33 is sliced off the price tag. What was last year's cutting edge $719.99 flagship is now Sammy's last-generation model. At $455, you're saving $264.99 from the original launch price. Not bad for a device carrying a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2960 resolution and a still serviceable Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform under the hood. The 128GB model is $549.55 and the 256GB unit is $619.99.

And if you're afraid that a 5.8-inch display will give you screen envy, the unlocked Galaxy S9+ is equipped with a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display with the same QHD+ resolution and Infinity Display. The 64GB version is priced at $517, 38% or $323 off the original launch price of $840. The 128GB variant can be bought for $649.99 with the 256GB unit priced at $719.99.

Both models are offered in Midnight Black and come with a U.S. warranty. And if you apply for the Amazon Prime Store Card and are accepted, you can take an additional $10 off either phone.

We're not sure how long this sale will run for, but let's say that you're in the market for a Galaxy S handset and don't want to pay the MSRP prices of $649.99 for the Galaxy S10e, $699.99 for the Galaxy S10 or the $799.99 for the Galaxy S10+ (all with 128GB of storage). If you don't care about the multiple camera setups found on the newer models, or the PowerShare reverse wireless charging feature or even the in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, you might want to consider what Amazon is offering.
