7 actually awesome things you can buy and do for the price of the Apple Watch Edition
The prices for the luxurious Apple Watch Edition are out, and yes, they are a shock. A shock to techies, that is, not so much for watch conoisseurs who know well the price of luxury, and might even find the Apple Watch Edition to be more affordable than its competing models from brands like say Patek Philippe.

Still, in the best traditions of our parents that taught us to save money and spend them wisely, it seems that there’s quite a few things you can do for the $17,000 you might be considering on spending (if so, we’re glad that PhoneArena has oil tycoons as its readers!).

What can you do for well over 10 grand? We help you fill the void with some neat ideas and show you the possibilities, so with no further ado here is what you can do with such a large amount of money:

It's really up to people to decide to do with their own personal wealth that they worked for. I am actually opposed to donating to these organizations in third world country for a few reasons anyway.

The problem with this article is that someone isn't going to buy this watch if they can only afford one. You buy one when you can afford 10's of them. Eg: Why get a Nissan Leaf when I already own a $100k+ Tesla...

By that definition, I shouldn't upgrade my old phone to the newest Galaxy or iPhone model because I can't afford 10 of them either.

No. The object pricing is in a completely different class. It's actually the exact same saying for supercars: "You don't buy a lamborghini or ferrari if you can only afford one. You buy one when you can afford 5 of them" Most people acquiring this watch could spend $10k in a single weekend / day with even thinking about it. Therefor the merit for this article is Would you drive a supercar and care about gas money? :)

[Edit time limit...] *Therefor this article is without merit because of this products target market.

How many days do you think they'll have to work to make $3.50?

8. Build the best damn computer anyone can buy. An i7 5960X and a few GTX 980's in a custom watercooling loop, 64 GB of 2800+ MHz DDR4, 4 TB of SSD storage (we don't need HDDs where we're going), and 3 Asus RoG Swift monitors for a glorious triple 1440p 144 Hz G-Sync surround set up. Completely unnecessary and overkill, but it's still more practical and useful than a $10,000 watch.

Some commentators should chill out.. It's a fun article. Nothing else. Of course you can do anything you want with your hard-earned money... But the fact remains: That is a whole lot of money for a watch that it's going to be obsolete in a couple oy years at most, considering how fast this technology thingy is moving...

Foolish article, if you work hard, and have accumulated some type of wealth, should be able to spend it anyway you wish. We can dissect any purchase e.g. buying a BMW, Audi, a pool in your yard, a deck etc.......How much things cost is subjective and irrelevant....you either can afford it, or not. If you need to finance a vehicle for five years, it simply means is out of your price range. But everyday, foolish people in the US do it.
