Last week, we showed you some leaked images of the unannounced ZTE Axon 7 Max. We might see the phablet become official on October 27th. That is the date of an event being held by ZTE for which the manufacturer sent out invitations. No, it is not a Black Tie affair and no gifts are required. All that ZTE wants is for attendees to bring a discerning eye for smartphones.

The ZTE Axon 7 Max will carry a 6-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 (FHD) resolution. Powering the handset is the Snapdragon 625 SoC containing an octa-core 2GHz CPU, and the Adreno 506 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of internal storage. A dual camera setup is on back with a fingerprint scanner directly underneath. Android 7.0 is pre-installed.

At the beginning of this week, ZTE started taking pre-orders for the ZTE Axon 7 mini in the U.S., priced at $299.98. We could see the ZTE Axon 7 Max also make the trek across the Ocean to the U.S., but we are getting ahead of ourselves. First things first; the Axon 7 Max needs to be unveiled, and that could happen during the October 27th event. Stay tuned!
