ZTE's Axon 7 Mini is up for pre-order in the US at just $299.98
This past year has proven to be one of the best and most competitive ones yet for mid-range smartphones. With hard-hitters like the OnePlus 3, Honor 8, and even Apple's iPhone SE, the sub $400 price range is easily the hottest one to compete in right now. ZTE released their own contender for the year with the Axon 7 a few months ago with the price of $399.98, and the phone proved to be a force to be reckoned with. The software on the handset certainly isn't one of its strong points, but with a fantastic build, excellent support for audiophiles, and buttery performance, the Axon 7 packs a pretty impressive punch for just under $400.

However, let's say that the Axon 7 isn't a perfect fit for you. Maybe the $399.98 price tag is a bit too rich for your blood, or maybe the 5.5-inch display is a tad bigger than you prefer. If that happens to be the case for you, ZTE's got you covered with their latest smartphone - the Axon 7 Mini.

The Axon 7 Mini was announced back at IFA in August, but ZTE has just opened up pre-orders for the device in the US. The phone features a slightly smaller 1080p display at 5.2-inches (hence the 'Mini' title) and comes equipped with a 16MP rear-facing camera, dual front-facing speakers, Snapdragon 617 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 2,705 mAh battery, and more. As a whole, the specs are a bit on the lower side of things when compared to the beefier Axon 7, but when you take the $100 difference in price into consideration, the Axon 7 Mini becomes a pretty enticing package.

If you're interested, the ZTE Axon 7 Mini is currently available for pre-order through Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, NewEgg, and ZTE's online store. The phone is available for just $299.98, but ZTE has yet to announce an actual release date for the handset.
