Unannounced ZTE Axon 7 Max appears in leaked images
The ZTE Axon 7 was released last May, and the  ZTE Axon 7 Mini launched in Europe before it was even official. Now, images of what is said to be the ZTE Axon 7 Max have surfaced. This phone has not been unveiled yet, but we expect the phablet to carry a 6-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 625 SoC drives the handset, carrying an octa-core 2GHz CPU and the Adreno 506 GPU.

The ZTE Axon 7 Max will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. A dual-camera setup is found on back, and a fingerprint scanner is positioned under the rear camera. Android 7.0 will be pre-installed.

Speculation is calling for a late October, early November introduction of the phablet. Until we get some more word about when to expect ZTE to make this device official, check out the many leaked photos of the ZTE Axon 7 Max by clicking on the slideshow below.

These specs make no sense. They make the mini with the same specs as the A7 but the hobble the "Max"?

I like very little bezels and very small back lines around the screen. I don't like the inferior SOC and on screen buttons

The name "max" but the spec is lower than the original. And no front facing speaker.

I'm really surprised more phones don't use the SD650 and 652. Any idea why?

I don't get it either. They always hobble the specs on the larger versions. Is it they think people who want large screens don't care about specs?

That's my question. I'm a huge guy. I want the big phone, but I want 2k minimum, SD821, etc.

If this is the type of phone you want then wait for the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro which should come out in the next month or so. It has 6.4 inch IPS screen with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage and 128 GB MicroSD slot, metal body and the first Google Tango phone. It should cost around $500.
