The other day, we told you to expect the Tizen powered Samsung Z2 to be unveiled today. According to a report published on Tuesday, the phone will be priced at the equivalent of $68 USD in India. Earlier this month, the Z2 was seen in Africa tagging along during the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. That was followed by the release of an official product video for the handset.

The Samsung Z2 features a 4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 800 (WVGA). A quad-core 1.5GHz CPU is under the hood and 1GB of RAM is aboard. 8GB of expandable native storage is inside. A 5MP camera is on back, and a .3MP front-facing camera shoots selfies and handles video chats. Keeping the lights on is a 1500mAh battery. The phone supports 4G VoLTE, and has dual SIM capabilities.

The model number for the Samsung Z2 is SM-Z200F. Besides the Z series handsets, Samsung's home-grown Tizen operating system is used on the Gear S smartwatch range. The latest iteration of the wearable is expected to be unveiled August 31st at a special event held just prior to IFA in Berlin.
