Rumored HTC Harmony Windows Phone looks like HTC One, offers FHD screen and more
Taiwan based handset manufacturer HTC is clearly in love with the design of the HTC One. Not only was the design used for the HTC One Mini and is expected to be blown up with the HTC One Max, the next Windows Phone flavored smartphone from the manufacturer will also look like the HTC One according to a new rumor. It's not a bad idea for HTC to do this considering the public's positive response to the design.
According to the latest speculation, the HTC Harmony will be launched in November. Besides the resemblance to the HTC One, the device will feature the same 4.7 inch Super LCD 3 glass found on the Android flagship. And thanks to the GDR3 update on the phone, the unit will feature a 1080 x 1920 FHD display which leads to an industry leading 468ppi pixel density. Other specs allegedly include 2GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 is said to be driving the phone, which will also feature a 4 UltraPixel rear camera and a 2300mAh cell keeping the lights on.
As exciting as this sounds to Windows Phone and HTC fans, keep in mind that this is information coming from an untested source, so you might want to cast a wary eye on the information. And if your eye can't get wary, there is always the grain of salt that you could take this story with.

This phone will be a huge hit. Beautiful device...

Yeah phone will be definitely a gorgeous premium device
but the thing is that its kinda hard to compete with Nokia or Microsoft.
nokia offer great camera, exclusive apps/games etc. But HTC's ultra pixel didn't live up to expectations and HTC has no exclusive games/apps.
Now when it comes to WP it got even worse than Android market where Samsung rules, Especially when nokia been acquired by MS.

At least it would be an option to have a premium WP device on Sprint.

But wp has no games and apps and costs same as android

you know all of u have to stop pointing the same things over and over in every wp article! Android has been there for 5 years and apple for 6 years. So they have that many apps. WP came at a time when apple and android is ruthlessly dominating market. So of course it will take a little time. But it has already reached almost 2 lac apps. See blackberry, what happened to it! WP has potential that is why it has survived till now and infact growing! So pls dont say the same things over and over. Maybe Rome was build in a day but mobile OS's dont. On the other hand wp has enough good apps to thrive. Use it once. U will know. Its not perfect but its good enough.

i am an android user, i have xperia E. It cant run any of those games, even if I install it, the phone lags like crazy. even i cant play temple run! And after installing the 6-7th app the phone lags like crazy everytime i wake it up using the sleep button. So whats the point in having so many apps if ur phone cant handle them? I love android JB, especially google now. And FB for wp is deeply integrated everywhere, app is not that much needed and even when its needed the new latest app is same as android. Do check it out. Love android, thats ok, even I do, bt dont hate wp and point things all the time.

One has one of the latest chip-sets not all phones have same chipset so don't start over again One has one of the best CPU GPU offered today so it can run those games but what if someone has older spec phone? android says screw you but not WP it will offer some high end games that isn't available for old android phones. remember my words

22. HalaMadrid (Posts: 92; Member since: 04 Sep 2013)
I'm talking about Facebook messenger not fb app.
I don't use fb app.

Don't be dumb dude. Your ignorance doesn't mean it has no apps..games?? You buy a 100.00 phone.. Try playing games on a 100.00 android phone.

YES THERE IS A FACEBOOK MESSENGER> IT IS INTEGRATED IN THE MESSAGE App. YOU CAN EVEN LINK THE SAME FB CONTACT AS THE PERSON's Phone Contact AND HAVE A SINGLE THREAD OF Conversation via TEXT & FB Messenger!

FB Messenger is built inside of wp os. there is need to look in the store for what you already have
35. clevername (Posts: 1431; Member since: 11 Jul 2008)
Idk what your talking about, Facebook messenger is tightly integrated into the text messaging app. With 2 taps I can switch from texting a mobile to texting any messenger including Facebook. Seamless. Also the improved and nearly identical to android/ios Facebook app also has messenger in it. So two separate ways. Aside from the app, windows phones tight Facebook integration is so good I often go weeks without opening the app. And I still see all the feeds and notifications I want. The only reason to use the app, which I must reiterate- is good now, is to view the separate private groups I am a part of.

I agree! It's about time there was a Windows Phone that didn't look like a toy. Nice one for HTC to use the One case. I hope it really happens, and looks like the render.

Yeah, it's beautiful but i say your bad again HTC to bring 4ultrapixel to this great device. My opinion, HTC one should have been selling more than what it did but because of its ultrapixel to pull it down
2. htc_evo_3d (Posts: 84; Member since: 11 Mar 2013)
please don't make us bored of htc one design. please. !!
5. LetsBeHonest (Posts: 965; Member since: 04 Jun 2013)

12. akki20892 (Posts: 3618; Member since: 04 Feb 2013)

I had the htc one, it would get really hot, and the "boomsound" speakers, kept going out..maybe on WP8 OS, it wont get hot
31. Alex123 (Posts: 227; Member since: 17 Oct 2012)
Agreed. But the most disappointed is its Ultrapixel and this is why i and my friends did not buy HTC One

Love love love the phone but please up the mp count this time HTC.. 4 just doesn't cut it.
25. McLTE (Posts: 714; Member since: 18 Oct 2011)
what do you need more than 4MP for? Or, is this a case of you feeling inferior to others because you only have 4?
I had 5 on my Nexus and was perfectly content with that size image sensor. What we need is better sensors, not more MP. It's not like you're printing 16x20" or larger prints anyway.. I bet the vast majority of the camera phone users have never printed an image.
I'd take a good 4MP phone camera over a 8MP any day!
27. papss (unregistered)
I stopped reading after the first part of your comment.. Why do I need more than 4 mp? Have you seen the comparison with the one in it? It loses almost every time. 4mp is not enough at all, in fact it ruins an otherwise amazing phone. Your 5 mp nexus was fine when it came out two years ago but by todays standards that won't cut it..
also with my 1020 I have printed many pictures and even a 20x30 that was free with the phone.
32. Alex123 (Posts: 227; Member since: 17 Oct 2012)
And have you ever heard the issue from ultrapixel on the One?
For me (and i think most people) prefer 8mp or bigger than this not 4

As More OEMs come to Windows, the better it gets for the OS.
29. EclipseGSX (Posts: 1643; Member since: 18 Oct 2011)
Love that HTC One design, I wish I liked Windows more or I would try it out. Now just give us a Black One Max for Verizon or Sprint and were talkin!

I am glad some Windows OEM's are still going to make Windows smart phones This HTC
Harmony model is in a way the rebirth of the HTC Titan windows 7.5 mango OS smart phone.
Among Windows 7.5 smart phone Fans The HTC Titan Windows smart phone was the one to have If this HTC Harmony is as thin and made of Aluminum with the quality of the HTC ONE HTC will have at least the second best Windows smart phone out there. the Nokia smart phones will only have the advantage of a better camera and Colored cases over a a Sleek slick looking HTC harmony Windows 8 smart phone. Windows 8 smart phones now have some good looking smart phones for People to choose from.
