European Sony Ericsson XPERIA arc & PLAY receive new software updates
For anyone holding dearly to the European versions of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA PLAY and arc handsets, they’ll be glad to know that new software updates are now available.

Although it’s nothing dramatic and doesn’t push the Android version beyond 2.3.3 Gingerbread, it’s still nevertheless going to encapsulate some owners seeing that it packs along some useful additions. From the looks of it, the updates bring forth the xLoud feature that enhances the sound quality when playing music through the speaker, stereo recording when shooting videos, DLNA compatibility with Digital Home, new themes, and landscape support with the homescreen.

Of course, handset owners should be seeing the new updates right now, but if not, users can always commence the manual process through the System Updates section under the Android settings menu. Furthermore, it’ll be available in the coming days through Sony Ericsson’s PC Companion program, which requires a computer to load the new software.
