Verizon customers are experiencing issues with home internet and mobile service on the East Coast of the US. According to the site Downdetector.com, Verizon services have been sketchy in the past couple of days, with the largest number of reports being posted around 8:00 a.m. (EDT) today.

Home internet is down for many users on the East Coast

The most reported issue is apparently lack of home internet service. Users also report mobile service problems, and one angry customer wrote on Downdetector.com that their smart TV is down, pointing toward internet problems.

There's nothing on Verizon's support page either on the official website or on X, where the company normally posts updates regarding outages.

Not the first problem with Verizon services in the past couple of months

These new problems come less than a month after a big outage hit West Texas and other areas in the south, leaving people without cellular service.

The problems from June 10, however, were much more severe with more than 2,500 complaints. It took more than 12 hours to restore the services last month, as the issue was tied to a fiber cut causing service interruptions in West Texas, including Amarillo, Odessa, San Angelo, and Midland. This time around the reports are in the hundreds, but this could escalate quickly.
