Chinese regulatory agency certifies the Oppo A57
A new handset from Oppo has just been certified in China by regulatory agency TENAA. The device is called the Oppo A57 and features a metal clad build. The handset is equipped with a 5.2-inch TFT display with a 720 x 1280 (HD) resolution. Driving the unit is a MediaTek chipset containing an octa-core 1.4GHz CPU. The Oppo A57 is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of flash storage; a 128GB capacity microSD slot is available for those who require additional storage.

This will apparently be another Oppo handset designed for selfie fans. We come to that conclusion because TENAA shows that the rear camera weighs in at 13MP with the front-facing camera checking in at 16MP. Keeping the hamster wheel spinning is a 2820mAh battery, and Android 6.0.1 is pre-installed. The A57 measures a thin 7.65mm, and weighs in at 147 grams. Color options are Gold and Rose Gold. Pricing and availability are unknown at present. Reportedly, the handset will be introduced very shortly.

You can get a good idea what the Oppo A57 looks like as TENAA has disseminated its usual photographs showing off the certified phone's front, back and two sides. Simply click on the slideshow to access the pictures.
