Check out this video of the Xiaomi Mi 5 in action
Earlier this morning, we showed you what appears to be genuine press renders of the Xiaomi Mi 5 dressed in Black, White, Pink and Gold. The images happened to match the previous leak of the Mi 5 that we passed along to you. This morning, a Weibo poster shared a video of what is claimed to be the White version of the Mi 5.

Placed in a nice looking wooden dock, we get to see the flagship phone in action, including the browser. The latter is tested by opening what appears to be a Weibo page.

We will run through the specs again. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch screen, carrying either a 1440 x 2560 QHD, or 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 820 chipset, containing a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside, along with 16GB/64GB of expandable storage. The rear-facing camera weighs in at 16MP and the front-facing selfie snapper is 8MP. A 3030mAh battery keeps the lights on, and a fingerprint scanner is embedded in the home button. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to be priced at 1999 Chinese Yuan, which is roughly $309 USD at today's exchange rates.

One ugly smartphone. Xiaomi f**ked it up with those Samsung like buttons. Capacitive buttons are far better.

So, is this the real look of Xiaomi Mi 5 ? It's a video....there is no way it's fake, right ?
If it is.....I'M SOLD.
Does the video release mean it will launch very soon , perhaps Jan 2016 ?

When the person tried to scroll up, it lagged for a fraction of second. don't expect that from Snap 820.

It's probably not due to the 820. It's more likely because of their heavy iOS rip-off skin on Android.

miui is heavy but very responsive if the phone has the specs. It's probably unfinished software or this is faked

I notice that too. Actually when he swiped left to show the next screen, it is not as smooth and fluid as my old Samsung....like there is a tiny lag to redraw the screen. I don't know if it's just my feeling or what. Or perhaps it's just a pre-production sample which still needs some polishing

Hold up.
Why in the living heck fingerprint scanner is so microscopic in size.

I'm just confused - won't the size affect the accuracy/performance of the scanner? Not that I know, asking out of curiosity.

To be honest, that ridicously tiny button looks retarded. But overall, for the price, I shouldn't be judging it so harshly. It's a goddamn 300 dollar phone with top-notch specs, that is, "on-paper''. Pretty awesome. Impatiently waiting for a review. *ahem* not from PA though, lol

Well, duh.
I can barely afford new clothes, let alone a high end device like Z5 lol.

Xiaomi should've delayed the release further so they could get Qualcomms Ultrasonic scanner working properly, instead of that hideous scanner they got now.

I was looking at the Mi4c and now this. They seem like such a great value for the hardware, what's the catch? Near-stock Android would be the only other thing I would ask for.
