ASUS Transformer Pad 300 Series unveiled: Tegra 3 tablet on a budget
Asus Transformer Pad 300 is the most affordable Asus gets with tablets without getting cheap: the TF Pad 300 drops the aluminum for plastic and the price dips a $100 below the Transformer Prime to $399.

It’s still a serious computing machine powered by NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3 chip, but it’s slightly bulkier. The Transformer Pad 300 is 0.39” (9.9mm) thick and tips the scales at 22.4 ounces (635 g).

The screen on the TF Pad 300 is almost the same great screen as on the Transformer Prime - it’s an IPS one with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. When it comes to connectivity, Asus is likely to offer 4G LTE as an option. There’s also 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

Not bad for the price, is it?

Price is close. Would like to see it around $100 less

These would be great tablets to compete with the iPad 2, but unfortunetly, they are going to be against the iPad 3!

This isn't suppose to go toe to toe with the iPad 3, its suppose to undercut it with the price, but I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the week Asus puts out an even better Transformer that blows the iPad out of the water

Agreed.

iPad 3 better be more than a "2S".

These latest Androids are looking better and better.

Asus is giving a great hand to the android ecosystem and is maniacally good for updates: still can't believe I'm having ics on the tf101 :)

I know im going to sound like a Sammy fnaboy cuz i am, but i really like the plastic back over the aluminum. Even if they were the same price.
