is the worst phone to repair the way its built and the flex cable will break easily, the features are still like the razr and the parts are cheap...this is a toy
it is the best phone ever i disagree with the above
I've had the phone for three months and the STICKER buttons have already fallen off. Took the phone in to be fixed and they replaced the entire plate....which was indented on the call button....so I had them fix it again...and then they dented the entire plate and scratched my phone because the plate is hard to replace/adjust.
The music program is not compatible with Macs...semi my fault for not checking, but the guy at the store said it was.
The phone will freeze at random and
1. if someone is calling when it freezes (which happens often) it will ring until the end of time.
2. You may not realize it until 8 hours later when you try to make a call.
The buttons are too small to text.
This is the worst phone I have ever bought. No more motorola for me.
um i have had two so far and they suck, because my first one i had for like a month then it froze at start up and i took out the battery and it froze everytime i did it.... so i had it took to get fixed with a software update and waited 1 month. while that was gone they gave me the rokr for a loner and that was all messed up when i got it back it still froze sometime like useing the music player, texting, pictures, and vids
this is a cool looking pgone but it deleted all of my pics and at times you have to turn it off then turn it on again just to send a text message.
This is a great phone by afar, but the main problem that I'm having with it is ringtones. It's supposed to play your mp3 files as ringtones. It did the first week and then all of a sudden it stopped. I've done everything possible to make them work, but I still haven't had any success! Other than that, it's a wonderful phone and well worth your money. The picture quality is awsome, compared to most phones.
I strongly reccomend getting this phone if you have alltel.
1. The price is right
Right now it is only seventy dollars including tax after mail in rebate, when renewing your contract.
2. Motorola does not have stupid restrictions like LG and Samsung
motorola is one of the last ones not to prohibilt use of your own mp3's as ringtones and alarms.
3. Bonus (better than ipod nano, it is all-in-one)
it supports the new AACplus high compression format,
meaning if you use winamp (and a free plugin called "drag n' drop" ),
you can fit twice as many songs as before (~700 on a 2GB card!) (note forget jumpmusic do not buy the music kit, just get a microSD and a reader, at an officemax or something)
4. everything else is great.
I was happy when i got this phone but i only had it for 3 days and it shut off on me then wouldnt turn on....so i traded it in 4 a new one then it started doin the same thing turnin on and off by itself...sometimes it wouldnt even turn on for 3 hours! now it turned off and wont turn back on at all! DONT GET THIS PHONE
I hate this high dollar piece of junk!!! I've traded it in 3 times. And am still having problems with my text messages being sent. It also cuts off for no apperant reason and I have voicemails with no missed call-go figure!!!
idk about sprint and what they are thinking but by the time they get hold of this rokr all the other carriers wold have discontinued it by then. i have had this phone from u.s.celluar and it's far by the best phone i hVE HAD SO FAR BUT IM MOVING UP TO the blackberry curve from sprint since it is cdma and yu got to love the nextel network i wish they woud come ouy with some nokia phones then sprint would be nice.
The first month I had this phone I had to trade it in twice. It turns on and off by itself. The camera doesn't work like it should. I have had to buy two different chargers because they just stop working. I have never posted a review before but I think people need to know how bad this phone is. I have only had it 6 months and I am going to buy a different phone. I have had more trouble with this phone than phones that I have had two years. This is the worst phone I have ever had!
I had the phone for one hour and it shout off on me and half the time the bluetooth would not work. the only thing that was good about it was the sound out when it worked the ca-reamer was OK but not the best video recurred i have had on a phone all in all it was the worse phone i have had.
I got this phone in December. Its better than the last phone that i had which was the RAZR. I was having issues like those for mentioned with texting and the phone freezing until I got a programming update. After the update my phone works great. I do find the buttons to be a little small as I text alot. The screen does attract finger prints. The battery doesnt last as long as I would like. As far as sound goes.......its by far the loudest phone ive ever had. Overal its a good phone.
Great Design.... This is by far the best phone I have bought. IT clearly has cool features .. bluetooth, usb cable( that came in the box), and the memory card ( also came in the box. I was and still am very impressed and pleased with this Phone. I give this phone a 10
Blah, the phone ehh its alright. better then that thin LG thing in like 5 different colors i had before. The only problems i really have with it is it fact it is always freeze'n up and shuting off, i dont like the fact that the clear and send button for texting is above and below on another.
Other then that it has a pretty good quality for being a moto, ive never been fond of them but if youre looking for a phone thats small and compact id recomend it.
in my opinion this is the best non-smart phone for alltel. It works good for test messaging (except a few little moto qwirks) and it has excellent call quality. Coming from the LG 8600 this phone gets about twice as good of reception everywhere I go. The music player works well and is easy to work with.
a couple of the only downfalls are the fact that the phone can't ring and vibrate at the same time and the lock button on the side can sometimes be annoying (like it'll unlock in your pocket), even though it doesn't happen too much. It is also a fingerprint magnet
overall it is a good phone and I'd recommend anyone interested purchase it
I just did a warranty trade today with my Krazr and now I regert it within 5 hours of trading phones this one froze up and now I am without my phone until the morning. The bad news is that this is the only phone they will warranty out for my Krazr so now I'm stuck with it, I hope that the one they give me tomorrow works better than this one.
This phone is HOT! I love the features, looks, ease of handling and stereo sound. It is solid and I have not had any problems other than keeping everyones hands off.
i have had ALOT of problems with this phone
it wouldnt take pictures
wouldnt plauym music
i couldnt send text messages
it freezes up a lot
and i can barely here the person im talking to on the phone when the volume is up all the way
i have nine days to return it before i have to send it in to get it fixed
and i dont know what to do
this phone is not worth your money if you have problems like these despite how awesome it looks.
I bought this phone exactly one month ago, and just today I had my first real issue with it. Amoung a few things, the phone wouldn't send any text messages; They would sit in my outbox until I did a hard break by removing the battery. My carrier assured me that it was a hardware defect, so I did a phone swap today (thankfully), and am hoping that it was a defect restricted to that handset only.
Other then that, the phone has been great. I have used the 3.5mm headset jack to listen to my music while on the go, and the camera gets it's share of use since I don't often carry my real digital camera with me. The signal stength is at least par with the other Motorola phones I've had, and the sound quality is excellent... the only thing I've noticed with both my original and the swap out is that if you tap the back of the phone on a hard surface (i.e. putting it down on a table), it sometimes causes the phone to reboot... That's not a huge issue though. I also had some difficulty connecting to MPT through a USB cable, but if I removed the memory card and tried, it would work, and I just put the card back in after MPT loaded.
All in all, excellent bang for your buck despite the Z6m's few quirks.
this phone waz talked up to much the signal sucks all the time the only god thing is that it charges super fast
i finally made a splurge on a phone and felt a bit guilty as this phone has such great features! the sound quality is OUTSTANDING & it allows you to listen to your music (even on normal head phones) I found the camera had great quality (and Im a graphic design major so cameras are sorta my thing!) I love how you can use it open or closed. the called ID feature is prob my fav and how you can use photos for it and blue toothing items was a breeze!! Great signal no problems with that yet!
Flaws:
Wobbles a bit already from wear (did drop once and wanted to cry)...anyone else have this or is it from the drop?
Originally had memory issues, but got that working RIGHT before I went to return the phone for a swap...
and as everyone else pointed out, very smudgy and you find yourself whiping it off alot...
Buttons fairly small, not so great for texting...
FYI:
Oh, and I was hesitant on buying a slider as they tend to break a bit easier, but this one is stronger and great material I think as my friend who has a slider with a diff. brand is made of plastic and feels cheap and is very wobbly.
Ok, I bought this phone on Friday. One for my girlfriend and one for myself. So far I like the phone, I've not been as impressed with Alltel's Jump Music program they encourage you to use or EMusic. I find that EMusic has a lack of songs, but paying $30 to get a 2gb San Disk card and 50 free songs isn't bad (Even if they arent' songs you would normally want to listen to).
The phone has worked great except one flaw, for some reason the voicemail icon was staying on for awhile. Apparently it was a setting on our account and my phone is fixed. Tomorrow hopefully I'll get my girlfriends phone fixed when she gets home from work.
All around though, it's a great phone for the money and comfortable to use.
Oh yeah, one other complaint. Like a lot of the phones on the market currently, the screen is very prone to smudging and you'll find yourself trying to clean off finger prints a lot.
Overall I'd give the phone a 10.
Great phone with tons of features supporting bluetooth 2.0 is a major plus. Screen quality is awesome, sound quality is fantastic, and honestly gets the best signal of any phone I have had. Has a loud external speaker for music and speakerphone, with awesome sound quality. Very solid built phone, not flimsy at all. So if your in the purchasing for a nice music phone with all the features this one is it.
I also forgot to mention the 2.0MP camera takes some very nice pictures as well. Definently one of the best I have seen and i'm a rep for Verizon and most of our phones don't compete in terms of picture quality except our rizr which is practically the same phone.
the sound? very good
desing? the best
features? verygood
sound quality? uhhh cool
value for money? grat
an excelent phone
