In theory, hardcore Google fans and perhaps many general Android lovers as well are in for a very nice treat next week. In practice, however, it's getting increasingly difficult to be excited about the Pixel 11 family when the expected upgrades over last year's Pixel 10 series look virtually nonexistent and the prices are all but guaranteed to go up.

Of course, if you're on a really tight budget, you were probably never planning to buy a Pixel 11 or Pixel 11 Pro anyway, and if you can't afford the Pixel 10 or Pixel 10 Pro either, now might be the ideal time to order a mid-range Pixel 10a. Whether you prefer a 128 or 256GB storage variant of the early 2026-released 6.3-inch handset with Tensor G4 processing power, you can currently save 75 bucks, and it pretty much goes without saying that you don't need to meet any special requirements whatsoever.

Whether you think you need 256 gigs of internal storage space or are willing to settle for just 128GB, the Pixel 10a mid-ranger can be yours right now for a cool 75 bucks less than usual in four color options with stellar long-term software support, a compact but high-quality 6.3-inch screen, Tensor G4 processing power, 8GB RAM, and a 5,100mAh battery capable of charging at 30W speeds.

This new Amazon deal doesn't quite match the e-commerce giant's Prime Day discount from a little over a month ago, mind you, but then again, you obviously had to be a Prime member back then to slash $100 off the Pixel 10a's $499 and $599 list prices with 128 and 256GB internal storage space, respectively.

Because an upgraded Pixel 11a is unlikely to come out for around six more months, there's a good chance this promotion won't be improved anytime soon. There are also not a lot of great Pixel 10a alternatives available right now at similar prices, as Samsung's Galaxy S25 FE, for instance, is quite a bit costlier, and the fast-approaching S26 Fan Edition is expected to be even more expensive.

You could definitely consider the newer Motorola Edge (2026) as well, which coincidentally or not comes with the same screen size as the Pixel 10a, but even that device is significantly pricier and not necessarily better. Not as far as long-term software support is concerned, that's for sure, and probably not in the display quality, camera capabilities, battery life, and overall performance departments either.

In short, you're looking at an essentially unrivaled value proposition here, at least for the duration of Amazon's presumably limited-time new offer, and unless you absolutely have to own the latest and greatest Android phones at any given time, I really don't advise you to snub the Pixel 10a in favor of the upcoming Pixel 11 series.
