It's that time of year again—Verizon wants to save its users almost $500 for the NFL Sunday Ticket.
If you want to take advantage of this offer, there are certain rules that apply. You need to open or upgrade an Unlimited mobile line, for example. As always, it's strongly recommended to read the fine print if you swing by Verizon, but for NFL fans, the offer is worth it, as total savings can accumulate up to $480.
Just like last year's offer

So, Verizon has brought back one of its biggest football promotions ahead of the 2026 NFL season. Starting today and running through September 2, eligible new and existing customers can get NFL Sunday Ticket from YouTube—a perk worth up to $480, depending on the subscription tier they qualify for.
By the way, Verizon offered up to $480 in total savings last year, too; given that $480 today doesn't have the same value as in 2025, it's safe to say that Verizon isn't pushing the envelope in terms of prizes and freebies, right?
What are your Verizon expectations for 2027?
What's the deal?
For those unfamiliar, NFL Sunday Ticket is a premium streaming package that lets fans watch out-of-market Sunday afternoon NFL games that aren't available on their local TV channels. In other words, if you live in New York but support the San Francisco 49ers, or you're a Cowboys fan living in Seattle, Sunday Ticket lets you watch your team's games live without relying on local broadcasts.

Since 2023, the package has been available through YouTube and YouTube TV.
How to qualify for this offer?
Wireless customers can activate a new smartphone line or upgrade an existing one to an Unlimited Ultimate or Unlimited Plus plan when purchasing an eligible 5G phone. Home internet customers can also claim the promotion by switching to qualifying Verizon Fios (fiber internet service), 5G Home or Verizon Home Internet plans. The offer also extends to customers who move to select Frontier Fiber internet tiers.
Even customers who don't qualify for the free subscription can still save some money. Verizon says existing Home Internet subscribers and Simplicity customers can purchase NFL Sunday Ticket for $234, while the bundle that also includes NFL RedZone costs $276. Both prices are lower than the standard retail cost.
Verizon Shine shines
Beyond the streaming offer, Verizon is also promoting Verizon Shine, its recently launched loyalty program. Through the My Verizon app, customers can enter weekly giveaways throughout the NFL season for a chance to win exclusive experiences, tickets and trips.
The first promotion offers an all-expenses-paid five-day trip to Paris to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers face the New Orleans Saints in what Verizon says will be the NFL's first regular-season game in the French capital.
Mint Mobile is now allowing you to get whichever plan you like for either three, six, or 12 months for just $15/mo. If you go for the six-month unlimited service, for instance, you'll now have to pay just $90 upfront instead of $210.
