2026 is the year of foldables. Samsung crushed it with the super successful Galaxy Z Fold 8 family, Apple is expected finally to join the chat with its iPhone Ultra and Google… well, Google released the Pixel 11 Pro Fold mere hours ago.
Google has equipped its new foldable with great displays and a ton of clever AI features, but that's not enough for many of you.

Recently, we were discussing high-end foldables and I asked you "Which foldable phone will be the best one in 2026?" in a crease comparison between the Oppo Find N6 and the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
You might ask why the Find N6 itself (or some other similar Chinese foldable flagship) isn't included in the survey.
It's simply because these exotic models aren't easily accessible in the US, so I decided to stick to the Big 3 (Samsung, Apple, Google) and I threw Motorola in the mix because, well, the company's foldables truly deserve it.
The big winner
And… Samsung crushes it with over 47% of the total vote. That's more than what Google's, Apple's and Motorola's foldables are getting combined.

It turns out that the "I don't care about foldables" crowd gets the silver here, as this answer is more popular than the Pixel, the iPhone and the Motorola options. I respect your honesty, even if I'm a big believer in foldables.
The yet unannounced iPhone Ultra, Apple's first-ever foldable iPhone, gets over 15% of the vote and earns the bronze.
Shockingly low result
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is not even getting 9% of the total vote. This bad boy was officially announced mere hours ago by Google, but somehow there's no place for it in your hearts, dear PhoneArena readers.
Maybe, as time goes by and we release our in-depth reviews and comparisons, you'll change your mind? And maybe you won't. If Apple's iPhone Ultra turns out to be potent and classy enough, Google will have one hell of a task to go against both Samsung's and Cupertino's foldables in 2026.
There's another winner
Globally speaking, there's another foldable that's all the rage right now: the Galaxy Z Fold 8. The non-Ultra variant of Sammy's new book-style foldables—the one that looks like a passport and it's wider than taller—is a solid market hit.
It's so hot right now that, reportedly, Samsung has to make another million units of the Z Fold 8 as soon as possible, because demand is high as a kite.
