The Pixel 11 Pro Fold has arrived and its specs are now officially revealed. Google's new foldable is here to challenge both Samsung and Apple, sitting right between them chronologically.
The new Pixel 11 Pro Fold goes toe to toe with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 family (presented in July) and, in a month's time, will have to face the iPhone Ultra, or, as it's also known—the first-ever foldable iPhone.
Facing both giants isn't a simple or easy task, but Google has infinite budgets and infinite talent to go for it. The result—the Pixel 11 Pro Fold—will stun you if you're just entering the wonderful world of foldables.

On the outside, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold offers a 6.5-inch OLED Super Actua display with a resolution of 1080 x 2342 and a 399 PPI pixel density. In other words—it's sharp and will provide the usual buttery smooth visuals that you're used to with its 1-120 Hz refresh rate.
In terms of usability, the outer display panel goes up to 3,600 peak brightness nits, but, as you know, that's possible on a tiny portion of the screen for a limited amount of time. The HDR-rated 2,400 nits of the display are plenty for outdoor usability, though.

The internal display is where things get exciting, as we have an 8-inch OLED Super Actua Flex display with a resolution of 2076 x 2152 OLED and comparable 372 PPI pixel density.
We get the same 1-120 Hz refresh rate, same 2,400–3,600 nits of brightness, but the Ultra Thin Glass display relies on a multi-alloy steel hinge with an aerospace-grade high-strength aluminum alloy.
"Ancient" foldables were quite tricky, since they weren't as durable as what we're dealing with today. Users had to pay attention to how (or how often) they were folding and unfolding their device, as hinges weren't really mature several years ago. That's history and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold looks like one of the most refined yet durable handsets out there.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold isn't as thin as the latest Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra; it's still as thick as non-folding flagships from two years ago, which is always impressive:

The phone uses ultra-durable glass ceramic on the front, along with a matte composite back and a spacecraft-grade aluminum frame. It has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, offering protection against everyday exposure to the elements. The back also has a fingerprint-resistant coating to help keep the phone looking cleaner.
For colors, most of the world can choose between Olive and Obsidian.

You'll notice a brand-new circle at the back of your Pixel 11 Pro Fold. That's the HiLight feature. Earlier, it was rumored to be called Pixel Glow, which was a bit more classy than the HiLight moniker, which evokes pictures of shiny, but mostly plastic washing machines.
HiLight will flash and notify you when you get a notification and there's no need to check your display.
Battery, charging, memory and storage
Google says we should expect "24+ hour" battery life out of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. That's thanks to the typical 4,750 mAh battery cell, which could be charged up to 50% in about half an hour with a 30W (or higher) charger.
In terms of wireless charging, we're dealing with up to 25W speeds via the Pixelsnap.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is tailor-made for AI with its 16 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, you can choose between 256, 512 GB or 1 TB. The two high-tier options offer Zoned UFS for faster performance. Without going too much into details, Zoned UFS will boost your experience thanks to a flash storage technology that organizes data into specific, logical zones instead of writing it randomly.
Chipset that's about raw power, but intelligence: Tensor G6

Google continues to rely on its own chipsets and here we have the new Tensor G6. As always, this silicon isn't created to compete with high-end Snapdragon and Dimensity rivals, as—at least in terms of raw power—it simply can't.
Instead, the Tensor G6 is focusing on completing AI tasks and on security (the Titan M3 security coprocessor is here for a reason).
Users in the US will also take advantage of Google's VPN at no extra cost and spam and scam protection in Google Phone and Google Messages.

On the back of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, we're finding a triple camera setup, consisting of wide, ultrawide and telephoto snappers that aren't particularly revolutionary in terms of specs.
The main 48 MP camera comes with a bright f/1.7 aperture and a fairly large 1/1.56" image sensor. The ultrawide lags with its 10.5 MP resolution, an f/2.2 aperture and a tiny 1/3.4" image sensor. The 5x optical zoom is also underwhelming with its 10.8 MP, f/3.1 aperture and 1/3.2" image sensor size.
All rear cameras offer up to 30x super zoom, Google says, but I'd personally much rather have a larger sensor, thank you very much.
The selfie is a 10 MP one and the camera on the inner display is also 10 MP.
For reference, the Honor Magic V6 can blow you away with its 50 MP main, 50 MP ultrawide, 64 MP telephoto and 20 MP selfie cameras.
Google will try to software its way out of the hardware with neat tricks like the Magic Capture feature, Camera Coach, Add Me, Macro Focus, Night Sight, Astrophotography and whatnot!
Since this is a Pixel, you'll be able to take full advantage of the Edit with Ask Photos, the AI-powered conversational editing tool that lets you alter photos and images by simply typing or speaking text prompts instead of using manual sliders.
In terms of video, the phone can record 4K at up to 60fps with both the rear and front cameras, plus slow-motion footage at up to 240fps. It supports 10-bit HDR, Night Sight Video, Macro Focus Video and up to 20x digital video zoom. Video stabilization is available through optical and software-based systems, while the phone can also shoot stabilized 4K timelapses, including astrophotography and Night Sight modes. Audio features include stereo recording, wind-noise reduction, speech enhancement and audio zoom.
Smart Gemini features (and more)

Users across the globe can tap into Google's expansive AI ecosystem, which includes cloud-powered reasoning via Gemini Intelligence, fast on-device processing through Gemini Nano, natural conversational voice interactions via Gemini Live, and a full suite of dedicated Gemini apps.
Select regions like the US also get access to Magic Cue, an intelligent assistant feature that proactively surfaces relevant context, personal details and automated action suggestions right as you type, call, or search.
Rounding out the experience, Circle to Search lets you instantly look up anything on your screen with a simple gesture, Live Translate breaks down language barriers in real time and Call Assist handles incoming calls with smart screening and live assistance.
We're getting the seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates that we're used to nowadays.
In terms of OS, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold lands with Android 17 on board and you'll reserve those bragging rights should you snag this foldable.
The included Theft Protection feature uses on-device AI and motion sensors to detect snatch-and-run attempts, automatically locking your screen offline or if unusual movement is detected. Inside, a complete suite of hardware sensors (proximity, ambient light, accelerometer, gyrometer, magnetometer, barometer, and Hall effect) accurately tracks orientation, atmospheric pressure and physical folds.
Connectivity and calls are managed through flexible Dual SIM support featuring a physical Nano SIM slot and eSIM compatibility. For media and audio, the device offers stereo speakers and utilizes three built-in microphones with background noise suppression for better call quality and supports Spatial Audio for dynamic soundscapes. Unboxing the Pixel 11 Pro Fold reveals the phone itself, a 1-meter USB-C to USB-C cable (USB 2.0, though) and a SIM tool to get you up and running.
Price and availability
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at $1,899 for the 256 GB model. That's not cheap in any sense of the word, but at least the price tag isn't above the $2,000 mark—the psychological threshold for foldables.
In terms of availability, I'm confident that the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be officially distributed across the US, the EU and many other major markets.
