Amazon's latest Galaxy S26+ discount is so massive that it might just be a mistake
Whether or not you're looking at a pricing error here, you should definitely try to order the Galaxy S26 Plus at an incredible $403 less than usual.

That's a model that normally costs $1,299.99, which is arguably excessive for a somewhat awkward 6.7-inch powerhouse with worse cameras and slower charging compared to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, as well as no stylus support and no built-in Privacy Display functionality.
But if you hurry, you can save an unbelievable $402.99 without jumping through any hoops or meeting the special requirements often associated with such bonkers discounts for such young and (relatively) appealing phones. That's not a figure of speech, mind you, as I almost find it hard to believe that Amazon is running this deal, especially with less than a couple of weeks left to the e-commerce giant's big Prime Day 2026 sales event.
Given that the Galaxy S26 Plus has previously only been available at up to $250 discounts sans trade-in, I wouldn't rule out this new record low price being an error on Amazon's part likely to be corrected in a matter of hours (or maybe minutes).

Even if that's not the case and Amazon in fact decided out of the blue to take its summer generosity to a whole new level compared to the last few weeks, I'm ready to bet that the $402.99 markdown will be drastically reduced by the end of the day.
Supporting my theory, the 512GB S26 Plus is on sale at this incredible new discount exclusively in a black hue, while the other three color options are marked down by a lot less than 403 bucks.
If you're wondering whether this is now the best Android phone in terms of its bang for your buck or not, that all depends on your feelings regarding Samsung's latest Galaxy S26 Ultra deal. That's pretty amazing too, saving you up to $500 on the S Pen-wielding 6.9-inch giant and an accessory of your choice, but if you don't use PayPal, this Galaxy S26+ promotion might be better.
