Compared to its bigger and more expensive brothers, the 6.3-inch Galaxy S26 has received rather modest discounts over the last few months (at least without an obligatory device trade-in). But out of nowhere, that changes today, as Samsung's compact Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powerhouse can be had for 180 bucks less than usual in its entry-level 256GB storage variant and a single Sky Blue color option.

Technically, Amazon is listing this model as marked down by $280, but that's only because the "regular" $999.99 price is wrong. Instead, the Galaxy S26 normally starts at $899.99, at least until Samsung decides to bump that number up to better handle the rapidly rising component costs experienced by virtually all major (and minor) smartphone makers right now.

If you're looking for a cheaper high-end (ish) phone with a larger screen, the hot new Galaxy S26 FE is still on sale alongside a $200 Amazon gift card.

$179 off (20%)

For an undoubtedly limited time, the 6.3-inch Galaxy S26 is marked down by a hefty 180 bucks from a regular price of $899.99 that's likely to permanently go up soon. The compact high-ender packs a state-of-the-art Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 12GB RAM, and a 4,300mAh battery with only 25W charging support.

That's just another reason why you don't want to waste any more time in your search for your next big Android phone. And yes, I realize that the Galaxy S27 is only a few months away, but you're probably going to have to wait at least another few months on top of that to see the presumably improved 6.3-inch high-ender drop to this kind of price.

You also clearly don't have a lot of time to pick up the Galaxy S26 at its highest discount since Prime Day back in June, although it's important to keep in mind that another Prime Day sale is right around the corner.

Then again, today's random new Amazon deal doesn't require a Prime membership or anything else than simply hitting the "buy now" button before the $180 discount is reduced.

Our in-depth Galaxy S26 review contains pretty much all the relevant information you need to establish if this is indeed the best phone for you today, including key strengths like a beautiful display, cool AI tricks, and excellent battery life and equally important weaknesses like disappointing charging speeds, a not-great telephoto camera (for a 2026 flagship), and the lack of several cutting-edge Ultra-exclusive features and technologies like Privacy Display and Gorilla Armor screen protection.
